I had such a great experience at Alameda Bicycle both renting and buying a bike! I wanted to see how it felt to commute by bike to my job so I rented one for that, and the customer service was great! Ramzy really took the time to make sure the bike fit me, was flexible on drop off time, and even pulled up a map of my route. I came back to return the bike the next day and he remembered my name and asked how the ride was. I decided to buy a bike and George helped me with that. He was so incredibly patient, kind, and easy going. He really honed in on what I was looking for, made adjustments to the bike I wanted so I could be sure about the fit, and clearly had a ton of experience and wisdom in the biking world. With great quality products, reasonable prices, and above and beyond customer service — you can’t go wrong here!
Second bad experience at this bike shop!!! No longer getting my business!!! 1st experience I brought my MTB bike in to get sealant installed in my tire. Next day after bringing my bike back home I saw the tire was completely flat luckily. Has to bring it back a second time. Mechanic said the tire wasn’t properly placed back on the rim. 2nd experience I brought my gravel bike in to get my bike wheel truer. They did a good job fixing that but when I hopped on my bike for a ride I discovered the gears weren’t not shifting smoothly and jumping around. They were shifting fine when I brought my bike in. THATS IT TAKING MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!
Staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. The service team is super pro and helpful. Their selection of products is good. They will help special order parts you need that are not in stock. Highly recommended.
I just bought my new bike at Alameda Bicycle and they were really great! Jack helped me narrow down my needs to a couple different models and figure out the size. I rode four different bikes to home in on the right one and that was no problem. I chose an All City Gorilla Monsoon and I love it already! Everyone there is enthusiastic about bikes and riding. I'm more interested in the non-competitive side of riding. There is no elitist, exclusive vibe to this shop at all. I'm sure they have the expertise to serve any rider. Their prices, selection and service are excellent. Please support your local bike shop!
These guys are great! The bike market has been insane during the pandemic, I looked for a gravel bike for over a year. I've put my name on waitlists everywhere and they are the only shop you checked in with me and responded when they got stock. I was able to text with them and ask questions till one I liked came in. I finally picked up my bike yesterday and it's a fantastic fit for me. Their customer service was impeccable. Not only did they make me feel comfortable COVID safety wise, they helped me determine if it was a good fit with no pressure. George was fantastic- knowledgable and friendly, he helped me pick out the right locks and accessories so Im ready to go again. Never pressured me to buy anything, just made sure I had my needs met. Multiple team even members thanked me for being patient for so long and explained why there's such a wait for the bike type I wanted. Add in maintenance and warranty for life and the warm welcome to their family and it was a stellar experience start to finish. Can't recommend them enough.
