I'm giving Fang 5 stars if only for its Wonton Soup....complex and DELICIOUS! That coconut-flavored broth is amazing! The House of Nanking Sesame Chicken had WAY TOO MUCH SAUCE and it is TOO SWEET. We loved the Sizzling Fried Rice and chose beef to go with it. Delish!

If you want to try family style Chinese meals, you have to visit Fang! The food is so delicious here. My personal favorites are charred broccoli, buns, and blossom tea!

I got Mapo Tofu and asked for a little extra spicy. Apparently that means to them to dump a bucket of sichuan peppercorn, that didn't make it spicy just kinda numbing with that acid after taste when to much is used. I thought it odd that it didn't include white rice so that was an upcharge. The egg rolls were okay but it was more of a thick spring roll because of the smooth outer shell, also I thought it was odd that they cut them up and poured honey mustard I just assumed that the sauce would be on the side. Flavor of the egg rolls was fine overall. The one ding is I sat at the small table at the top of the stairs and after a bit I was getting a wet gym sock smell that just wouldn't go away which added to the food which could have thrown my taste buds off I'm not sure.

I was on a business trip in San Francisco and a group of 20 had dinner at Fang. Being familiar with Peter and his daughter Kathy Fang the owners, I was excited to eat there. Her father also owns House of Nanking. We had a large table in the lower level across from the wine wall. The food was amazing and it kept coming. Pete Fang was on hand and helped serve our group. At some point I lost track of what I ate, but I started with a Lychee It Up. The Pork Belly Steamed Buns were awesome.

Going to Fang is an amazing experience that is a mix of variety and incredibly tasty food. The owner and the staff are very friendly and they make some of the best Chinese food you've had. The food is uniquely flavored that you can't find elsewhere and it's not just packed with sweet taste. Highly recommend this place especially if you have guests and love Chinese food. You've never had anything like this, simply amazing.
