I am writing this review after multiple frustrating visits to Fast-Fix Jewelry & Watch Repairs (Parkway Plaza, El Cajon). On 06/13/2024, I purchased a battery replacement for my Swiss Zodiac watch, including a 5-year warranty, for a total of $57.32 with tax. The watch is not a daily watch. I only use it 4–6 times a year for special occasions. A few months later, the battery failed. When I brought the watch back, the employee who assisted me accused me of trying to scam them, saying the watch had no warranty and even suggesting I had altered the serial number. He told me that if he opened the watch and it did not have their warranty mark, he would charge me for a new battery. I clearly stated that if there was no warranty, I wanted the watch returned unopened and I would not pay twice. He opened it anyway and found that the warranty seal was indeed there, proving his initial claim was wrong. Instead of apologizing, he crossed out and altered the warranty card to correct his own mistake, again without any apology. The watch worked for a few more months, and then the battery failed again. I returned for a second replacement, and unfortunately, I was assisted by the same employee. This time, he told me the watch was “damaged” and would not accept a new battery. He said he was not the official watchmaker and that I would have to wait for the official watchmaker to provide a repair estimate. I was told I would be contacted within one week. I left the watch there for two weeks. When I returned: At first, they could not find my watch Then they claimed they had already called me The call they claimed to have made was supposedly one day before I even dropped the watch off, which makes no sense There was still no estimate, and the watchmaker on duty then told me it would cost around $50 to repair because it would “take a lot of time.” At that point, I took my watch back and left. I will never return. I paid for a warranty, was treated with suspicion and disrespect, experienced poor communication, and ultimately left with a non-functioning watch. This is a Swiss-made Zodiac watch. It is not a Rolex, but it is still a quality timepiece. If this is how they handle a simple battery replacement on a Zodiac, I would never trust them with valuable jewelry or watches. Unprofessional, disorganized, and unacceptable.

Good, fast service. Was skeptical to come because of some bad reviews. But the gentleman had my watch resized and with new battery ready in 15 minutes. $25 for a one time battery and $10 for resizing.

I went here to get a pair of eyeglasses fixed. The hinge broke on one of the temple pieces and so the only way to repair the glasses was to solder the hinge to hold the temple to the frame. I was made aware ahead of time that this would allow the temple to open and close but it would not have the spring action that was originally part of a glasses design. I weighed the pros and cons of getting a new pair of glasses and just decided that even though it wouldn't have the spring hinge anymore The $65 to repair it would be worthwhile. I dropped off the glasses and was told they would be ready in 1 hour. When I came back they were repaired and ready to go. I was handed the glasses and a mirror to double check the fit. They were fixed! If I needed other jewelry or I glass repair I would be inclined to come here again, especially with the convenient location and hours.

My Citizen Eco-Drive Skyhawk was serviced there, as they claimed to be an official Citizen Service Center. I brought the watch in because the stem felt loose—it could be pulled out and pushed back in without resistance. They charged a considerable amount for the repair (though I don’t recall the exact figure), but unfortunately, I now suspect substandard or non-original parts may have been used, as the stem broke not long afterward. I’m not placing blame—just sharing the facts as they happened.
