Malia is my favorite instructor! In class she’s present, professional, and attentive to each client offering adjustments for better positioning, and her knowledge in physiology and Pilates surpasses many other instructors I’ve had. Her classes flow fluidly, and her exercises in each class are unique and well-planned out. I never want to leave this studio because of Malia!
I love going to the Monday evening mat class! It’s challenging enough to get a good workout in and stay engaged but not so overwhelming that I want to give up. I’ve been going weekly for 3 months which is the longest I’ve ever stuck with a workout class and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Cannot recommend Purposeful Pilates enough!
I am well into my third year with Purposeful Pilates. The teachers are well trained, astute observers and clear communicators. They provide interesting, sufficiently challenging and FUN classes! My main interest in Pilates is to keep my spine healthy which it does and the rest is a bonus. I have immensely enjoyed my classes and will continue to do so.
I’ve been doing Pilates with Danielle since before she opened Purposeful Pilates. When my husband decided to try it I knew she was the best person to get him started. We are in our mid-seventies and without regular Pilates workouts life would be more painful and less fun.
I am OBSESSED with Purposeful Pilates! Total Stage 5 Clinger. I had never done Pilates (or any group fitness class) before, and now I can’t imagine my week without it. The vibe is super welcoming, and I actually look forward to working out! Danielle, the owner, has such a gift for teaching the fundamentals. She makes everything approachable, explains the “why” behind each movement, and ensures that you build a strong foundation. Katie brings the energy. She’s upbeat, motivating, and makes every class fly by! Together, they’ve created the perfect balance of education and fun. Since starting a few months ago, I feel stronger, more coordinated and the changes in my posture and core strength have been incredible! I also love that Danielle taught free community classes at the North Loop Green this summer and even offers a class at the Four Seasons (Hello?!? 2 hours of spa access before or after your workout…yes, please!). Purposeful Pilates is more than a studio…it’s a place that builds confidence, community, and real results. If you’ve ever been hesitant to try Pilates, Purposeful Pilates is THE place to start.
