Amazing owner, shop and selection. Karlea has helped me pick new items and fixed broken pieces. She’s super knowledgeable and extremely helpful. 90% of my jewelry comes from Vent. I cannot recommend them enough.
So grateful to Karlea and her store! She fixed the wiring on my engagement ring (gold) beautifully! She strung new pearls on it, too, to match the original reference photo I gave her and the finished look was exactly what I wanted. Great service, pricing, and communications. Karlea is amazing!!!! If you have any jewelry that needs repair Vent is the only place you should go. I was lucky to find Vent bc I had tried a few different jewelry repair places but they would not work on my Tiffany pieces bc they are sterling silver but Karlea effortlessly fixed them on the spot and was transparent about pricing. After that first visit, I have brought her other pieces which she repaired in a flash. I have worn the items she fixed everyday for months and her repairs are sturdy! She also has a great array of jewelry for sale. Go to Vent!
This place is awesome! From the moment my partner and I walked in we were greeted by the absolute cutest dog (Cannoli!) and anything that happened after that came second (jk). Vents store is sleek and modern but also felt very comfy and warm, a difficult duality to embrace and execute but somehow it was done. The selection of jewelry is unique and it felt like there was both a range of prices and styles, and in particular pieces that may be one of a kind? In any case, my partner and I had a lot of fun browsing the jewelry and chatting up the store owner (who’s name I did not catch and now I really wish I had asked :/)! She was super nice and knowledgable, helpful but not pushy, and had some really interesting stories about her tenure working with jewelry in Portland and beyond. We spent well over an hour in there just chatting and looking at different options and my partner ended up walking out with a beautiful new pendant and chain. Overall I highly recommend Vent to tourists and locals alike, it’s a fun and unique experience and you’re bound to find something special for yourself or someone else. Thanks so much, Vent! Will stop in next time we’re in Portland :)
