I want to respond to the agency’s reply below, because it does not accurately reflect what actually occurred and the written record supports that. This was not just a single exploratory call. After the initial call on November 25, I completed their questionnaire, granted access to my Google Ads account, and was told they were actively performing an audit. I was explicitly told they were “wrapping up our audit” and needed to schedule a meeting to walk me through the findings. That is work initiated by them, regardless of whether a formal contract was signed. From the beginning, I clearly communicated my availability multiple times in writing. I stated that weekday calls were only possible during specific commute windows, and that Zoom meetings were only available Friday evenings or Saturdays. Those constraints were known, acknowledged, and accepted early on. Later, once the audit was complete, they refused to meet during any of the times I had already outlined and instead pushed for availability they knew I did not have. They now claim no findings were withheld, yet they would not share any results without a Zoom meeting that they themselves refused to schedule within my availability. That is effectively withholding information after requesting account access and performing analysis. They also claim the audit was completed ahead of schedule, yet the process stretched nearly two weeks with repeated calls outside my stated availability and continued back and forth about scheduling that had already been addressed. I ended the conversation politely and clearly stated I was no longer interested due to the experience. Despite that, leadership continued to email and request calls after I had asked to disengage. I work with agencies regularly and understand pre sales processes well. This situation was not a misunderstanding. It was a failure to respect clearly documented availability, followed by revisionist framing once a negative review was left. I stand by my original assessment. This was a poor experience and a waste of time, and the written communication backs that up.

Can't say enough good things. I initially hired 1Digital to handle the SEO for my online brand. They did such a good job I ended up offloading all my marketing initiatives over to them. My biggest complaint with previous agencies is that I always felt like I was driving the ship and the company I hired was just doing what I said. With 1Digital they take command of the strategy and think bigger than I ever could. Great experience working with 1Digital. We contracted them for an end to end e-commerce site build with ongoing SEO blog campaigns. The team took on our project after a series of focused kick-off and scoping calls, and rapidly delivered a great site for us.
