Went to dinner on a Saturday night. Service from Wyatt was wonderful. He was friendly, attentive, and added to the wonderful atmosphere of the restaurant. Dinner was delicious. We loved the complimentary seaweed chips. The Cucumber Sunomono was crisp, fresh. The crispy pork belly was one of the best we’ve ever been served in Nashville. Oddly enough, it tasted similar to a McDonalds chicken nugget so if you have children, they might like the dish (lol). Sushi was fresh and delicious. We ordered an oyster dish that was the special and my only complaint was that it wasn’t worth the $15 they were charging only because the size wasn’t as big as I was hoping. We couldn’t save room for dessert but would come here again and recommend it to others looking for a nice place for a good meal.
What an intense experience in Gastronomy. The quality of food was excellent, presentation and flavours danced in your mouth. Our server May was on point in service, menu suggestions and friendliness. We enjoyed the Miso soup(above average) Katsu Sando, Octopus Usuzukuri, Maki crunchy tuna. I was full but so impressed with the quality and tastes desert was a must. The Pavlova did not disappoint. The vibe in this place is wonderful with a DJ playing music behind the bar where 2 sushi chefs create their dishes. Highly recommended when you in town.
888 has such an amazing and cozy vibe. The staff was so attentive to me being a solo diner. Whoever the DJ was that night was amazing. Everyone kept raving about how excellent the music was. The fish was so fresh and melted in my mouth. I tried the sake flight and all three were delicious and I usually am not a big drinker. I would definitely recommend.
888 is an upscale Japanese restaurant in downtown Nashville, located inside the JW Marriott. The interiors are cozy, warm, a little funky, and very welcoming. There’s a DJ spinning vinyl, and you can even request songs, which adds a cool, relaxed vibe. Service was exceptional and family-friendly. The food was excellent. It’s not strictly authentic Japanese, but the modern twists really work. The flavors stood out, and everything felt well thought out. The tempura asparagus is a must-try. Portions are solid, prices feel justified, and the overall experience was top-notch. Would happily go back.
Fist off the service was great! Not just great sorry but amazing. We did the miyabi experience! My girlfriend and I both ordered it and we had a blast. Everything was served on point and no wait time after each dish. The chilled octopus was a great starter dish then the experience began and didn’t let down. Everything was served for a reason in the order they brought it out. The crab ragoon to the soup was amazing. The entire portions were huge! I want to give a shout out to the AGM Luna she was an amazing AGM who took the time to chat with us and explain everything rarely do you see that in a busy restaurant. Sorry for the rant but this review was worth it! Last thing the dj spinning by vinyls was a touch tha makes the experience of everything ten time better to go song with the food.
