The place was very laid-back, and I loved the decor of the restaurant. Our server Nikki was patient and very sweet! We ordered the milk tea, Black Garlic and Spicy Miso ramen; I think it's the best in Nashville. Everything was 10/10! We will be going back literally.
Great food and even better service! I ordered Edamame, Takoyaki, Hell Fire Ramen, Thai tea, Pork bao bun, Kimchi, & Fried calamari. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The ramen had a decent kick, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back when visiting Nashville.
Very cool restaurant. Had menu items that I had never gotten to try before. We tried a lot of food and all of it was delicious. The ramen was cooked perfectly, and as someone who enjoys ramen a lot I truly appreciate a good ramen that was not overcooked. The restroom was also very clean and aesthetic. It had a small cute but not overwhelming decorations and an air freshener that smelled very nice. Our server was very polite and kind and patiently helped us and answer our questions very well when we asked about items on the menu we were unfamiliar with. We also ordered a Tonkotsu ramen to go, also has milk tea and smoothie that was delicious and not too sweet. The food was very good, I would recommend this place to anyone that likes Asian or Japanese food and wants a calm place to sit and chat.
I am traveling for work and happened to drive by this charming restaurant and decided to give it a try. The staff were so attentive, kind and fun to talk to. The food was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. I got veggies, bao buns and steamed dumplings. Everything was amazing. I especially loved the boa buns! I got my food to go and they put it in the cutest bag pictured below. I can’t wait to come to Nashville for work again and have another meal from Kumo. 10 out of 10 recommend.
The tonkotsu broth was rich and deeply flavorful-you can taste the hours of simmering love in every spoonful. The thick-cut chashu melted in my mouth, and the marinated soft-boiled egg was cooked to perfection with that dreamy, creamy yolk. The noodles had the ideal chewy texture and soaked up the savory broth beautifully. The staff was so friendly —when I hesitated, they recommended the shrimp Tempura for my appetizer, the food was so delicious, Despite the lunch rush, my order came out quickly! Already planning my next visit (and bringing friends!). P.S. The black garlic ramen is next on my list — can't wait to try it!
