Abu was so wonderful when I got in an accident that required a tow. He called his tow man for me (who was also wonderful), continued to check in with me while I waited for the tow truck, and was communicative across days when I was deciding next steps with my (totaled) car. He allowed me to leave at his business, relieving me of a large tow truck bill. Great service!

Perfect diagnosis, great communication, speedy, friendly service. Busted a tie rod visiting DC the day before an ice storm. AF promised they could take a look same-day, got it fixed, no problem, and I was out before it got nasty. Had debated trying a dealership. Glad I didn’t. Positive reviews for AF were accurate. Parts mark-up wasn’t insane, hours quoted weren’t bad, was willing to use third-party parts (though he initially found in stock and suggested I go with OEM, to his credit), and I made the seven-hour drive out without issue once they were done. And they finished exactly when he said they would! Didn’t get a text with the final invoice, but I didn’t bug him for it either. Even warned me the old car was pretty rusted out and suggested the tie rod might not normally have snapped so cleanly without so much rust, so he’s watching out for an out-of-towner long-term. Appreciated.

I was in DC for work, traveling from Richmond, when my car suddenly lost steering power after the drive belts snapped. Thankfully the closest shop was AF Auto Repair and I had it towed there. They immediately diagnosed the issue, replaced both the serpentine/drive belts and the power steering pump the same day, and made sure everything was running perfectly before I hit the road again. They saved me a lot of money compared to what I expected to pay. If you’re ever stuck in DC with car trouble, this is the shop you want to call. Highly recommend!
