Popped in for Taco Tuesdays which will be happening the last Tuesday of each month from Feb onwards. Had the totopos with guacamole, the guacamole itself was a showstopper. Cochinita pibil was on as a special & formed part of my taco choice. Tacos £2.75 each on TT the chicken & steak were flavourful, topped with mandarin Jarrito. Was busy & goodvibes for a Tuesday night! A gem of Bearwood!

Visited here with two friends. Be sure to make a reservation as it is very popular. Even though the restaurant was full, it was not too loud. It is a lovely, authentic Mexican restaurant, traditional decor. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. I'm a vegetarian and there was plenty of choice. Would definitely come back- thank you!

Lovely hidden gem; family run Will need to book in advance though. The food was authententic and delicious; portion sizes generous. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would visit again and recommend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A La Mexicana – Bearwood I recently visited A La Mexicana in Bearwood, and it instantly transported me back to Mexico! The flavours are incredibly authentic, vibrant and full of life – you can truly taste the love and tradition in every bite. To start, I ordered Nachos, guacamole 🥑 and Al Ajillo, and they were absolutely delicious. The guacamole was fresh and creamy, the nachos perfectly crisp, and the Al Ajillo packed such mouth-watering flavour that I could’ve happily eaten another plate! For my main, I had Tacos 🌮 with Pastor and Shrimp 🦐 along with some Tostadas, and honestly, they were some of the best I’ve had outside of Mexico. The Pastor was beautifully seasoned, the shrimp was juicy and tender, and the Tostadas had that perfect crunch that brought everything together. To top it all off, I enjoyed a very tasty margarita – refreshing, balanced, and the perfect finish to an incredible meal. The staff were so warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. It felt just like being back in Mexico – amazing food, friendly atmosphere, and the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. Oh and did you know they are the Regional Winner for Best Mexican Establishment, Midlands from the Food Awards England 2025. 🥇 Highly recommended – a true gem! 🇲🇽✨

Having just eaten at this little jem, I can honestly say its a fantastic addition to the Bearwood independent scene. Truly authentic food and atmosphere. Its like stepping into a little bit of Mexico with their traditional decor and music in the background. Our server was attentive but not imposing, and the food was beautifully made using fresh ingredients and was all very well timed between courses. I could easily eat here everyday. Be prepared to waddle home as the portions are very generous. 😁
