I am very disappointed with the service I received from this vendor and the organizer Mabel. I booked Tiffany chairs and an arbor (solid timber arbor as advertised on their website in photo below). What I received a day prior was some bamboo poles with instructions (photo below). I was promised that this would be sorted but did not receive an email until quite late that night apologizing they did not have any other arbor and offered me a refund (which to this date I have not received - even after reminding once more). I was lucky my husband is handy and had spare wood to build an arbor at the last minute. The chairs were quite scuffed and dirty. Cannot easily get hold of the vendor.

Had made a booking with the owner to see her in person and discuss key information related to my wedding. She wasn't there on the day or time we had booked in and was incredibly difficult to get a hold of on the phone. When the cutlery and crockery arrived to my wedding venue, none had been washed properly, with cloudy glasses and PULP still in the glasses from a previous event. Nothing we can do now but it took a lot of unexpected time that we didn't have to wash all of the cutlery and crockery ourselves. The cutlery is also mismatched, although there was no indication we would be getting completely different sets as on the website it is advertised as all the same sets. Pros: equipment was delivered on time. That's about it realistically. It was only once we thoroughly inspected everything we started to see the major issue at hand. This place may be fine for a small party but perhaps not a wedding as advertised. Mabel, do note that my parents were exhausted from the process and just wanted to keep the peace. It was not okay. I've just now had the time to leave a review and flag this as a major concern, after all that had happened.

For our wedding in the Gold Coast Hinterland in August this year, we hired all our furniture through Abbey Rents. We couldn't have been happier with the result. The communication with Mabel from first quote through to pick up was excellent - nothing was ever too hard and the company was very happy to keep making changes as required to accommodate our event ever-changing event organising. We used a few bits and pieces from Abbey Rents for our wedding. The marquees, tables, festoon lighting and marquee lighting, table cloths, ice buckets etc. The staff were super friendly and patient with my 10000 emails and changes to what I wanted. I also found them to be much more affordable than some of the other companies I researched and they were very generous and allowed me an extra day with the marquees! So glad with my choice to use Abbey Rents.
