I have read so many reviews on this school, I’m not liking it My Girl applied got accepted right, weeks go by Financial Advisor not answering the phone. His name is Edward when it was getting down to the last days, He said she didn’t pay the full $6000 which the Aid was supposed to help towards it (He was rushing her to pay it), a day later said it was fully paid okay ordered her ticket for a bus to San Francisco all from Virginia. Halfway there on the Los Angeles bus Edward the financial Advisor said it was not fully paid, mind y’all my girl is halfway to San Francisco at this time. They sent scheduling, building number and her roommate picture, why send all that if it wasn’t fully paid. This is all a Scam and now she’s about to be stranded in a City by herself, they let her in the building thank god but if anyone gets a pamphlet or Email saying enroll to this school don’t.
I've been at this university since 2020, and having graduated, I wouldn't recommend it at all. It's really expensive, especially for international students. If you plan to transfer to another California or out-of-state university, they might not even have AAU listed in their database for some reason, and you could face rejection if you intend to pursue further studies after graduation or even transfer. Furthermore, if you're seeking a proper college life experience, this university falls short; its resources are too limited for you to fully enjoy the experience. I would highly recommend people explore other reasonable or better alternatives instead.
Expect to spend tons of money to learn the basics of everything you can find through Udemy or YouTube. The professors are horrible and will give you unfair grades and won't tell you how to improve your work or respond when you message them. I went from a college where I had a 4.0 and a school where I was an Honor Graduate, to this school where I have been receiving nothing but bad grades and zeroes. Every semester they mess up my finances and ask for more and more money because they don't know how to add properly. I already wasted a year of my life at this school and wasted over $30k in loans here in just a year. Do not waste your money, time, or energy on this school!! Find a school that has professors that care about your time and money being spent to learn something new. This school is horrid! There is a reason why the graduation rate is 7%. Also, the professors won't message you when you struggle. No emails or concern. The only time you will be contacted is when the school spam calls you daily to ask you to sign up for another class.
If you have thousands of dollars and want to graduate with 6 figures in debt, this school is for you. As soon as the semester starts, they give you about a week to start signing up for the following semester and want your money asap. You want to drop a class cause of your schedule? Got to pay a drop fee and take the class the following semester. Want to make an appointment with your advisor? $50 per appointment(even if they don't call you back) that gets added into tuition. This school is money hungry and won’t care for you unless you pay. If you don’t have funds, they require you to take loans out and it’s not small amounts. Overall, you're better off learning from Youtube for free.
