Academy of Sound

The Academy of Sound is a supportive, inspiring place for music students. I highly recommend giving them a try if you’re interested in music lessons!

We began piano lessons 3 years ago at the Academy of Sound with the intent of just signing-up for the summer session, initially choose AOS because they were the only place that accepted 4 years-olds for music lessons (as well as providing a virtual lessons if you are sick). However we were pleasantly surprised at how many additional opportunities and offerings that AOS provides. Not only do they offer private lessons with 2 conferences per year, but annually they put on two (optional) opportunities for students to highlight their personal growth and perform on stage at the Holiday and Spring Recitals. Additionally AOS also offers a variety of group lessons like bucket drumming, a holiday choir and my daughter's personal favorite the Summer Musical where every student gets a role! Over the past 3 years we have watched our daughter's confidence continue to grow and flourish. Thank you so much Academy of Sound for ALL you do for our community to allow music creativity to thrive, we look forward to many more years of making music memories with you!

Mr. Adam is a great guitar teacher. He's patient with my son (who can get a bit distracted!) and is a positive, encouraging teacher. He encourages his students to play around with their guitars too and have fun. We've really enjoyed academy of sound so far. Convenient location/time for after school lessons for Oregon students.

We have had piano lessons for our boys between the ages of 5 and 11 for two years. They have all excelled here, in spite of their different learning styles :) . Between the weekly lessons, encouragement from their teachers, and multiple concert and competition opportunities, my boys continually improve. This is all accomplished without stress and with excitement; they don't even realize they are striving to do better. They have fun during their lessons and want to go each week. They especially enjoyed the video chat lessons that were available on snow days :). Thank you to Erin and her staff for a great program!

I studied piano with Academy of Sound beginning I was four years old. I loved the recitals, the music repertoire choices, and the entire staff! Tuition was always reasonable and was a good value! You get so much more than just a time slot on the schedule each week. Everyone I learned with made a significant contribution to my love of music. The teachers are professional, kind, and full of knowledge. Beyond music, they helped me with confidence and learning to be comfortable performing for others. I highly recommend this school to everyone looking for a quality music education!
