I had an initial meeting with Mr. John Ackerman when we were looking for a CPA to file a company’s tax returns. He was very kind & knowledgeable. He even gave me valuable advice on how to keep the books looking professional (Dos & Don’ts) after he learned our company is based in a state where he doesn’t usually accept clients from. To my surprise, he even went out of his way to help me by recommending & connecting a local CPA to me. Can’t thank him enough for what he has done for me, a stranger. I would recommend him & his firm to anyone I know.

John and Alyssa Ackerman have worked with me on my taxes (personal and business) for the past couple of years. They are incredibly communicative and relieve so much of the stress involved in the horrors (for me anyway) of the world of numbers. They are experienced, knowledgeable, helpful in so many ways, and efficient to boot. I never thought I'd have so many great things to say about accountants! I just cannot believe they do it all with smiles on their faces. They really do love what they do and it shows. Definitely a great find. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Taxes can be scary. I used to have a CPA who hated answering my questions and made me feel like I was questioning their expertise when I was just trying to understand. I've never had that issue with Ackerman. He met with me for an initial consultation and let me know what to expect and how to prepare for tax time. He also walked me through restructuring my business. He sends out helpful reminder emails and has been keeping all his clients up-to-date on all the tax-related pandemic announcements. His wife has joined him in business and now I get 2x the Ackerman. She's equally helpful and patient when it comes to answering questions and making suggestions. Whether you're a freelancer, have a startup or run a local small business, Ackerman is a great choice for your taxes.
