This salon is the gold standard in gender affirming hair cuts. My partner went here and Madi gave them the first haircut they ever felt good in. They left feeling cute and more happy with their body / sense of self. Madi was super patient and very helpful in picking out the right cut, and my partner will definitely be returning. I went for my own haircut, and left a little displeased. One of the owners offered to help me get it to something I was more happy with, and she nailed it. Overall, our household has had a great experience with this salon. The salon is a very warm, welcoming space, and I think everyone that visits can feel that, because of how that atmosphere has been cultivated.

Not only was Nina amazing, but the environment cultivated here is also so unique and offers stylists who are passionate about what they do as well as a safe space for anybody regardless of identity! I’ve struggled in the past to find stylists who properly manage fine hair, but obviously had no issue with that here, i highly recommend. ☺️

I called Acute Salon due to scheduling myself at a different salon that did not do full service cut and color. After my girlfriend and I called several different salons hoping to get a walk in appointment, which I knew would be slim pickings at 3 in the afternoon, Acute told me that they would be able to get me in with an apprentice! I wanted a layered cut with some longer bangs, and I wanted hair that was a deeper ashy brown with blonde highlights throughout. They set me up with Audrey, (I am not 100% sure of the spelling of her name, sorry!!!) and the owner of the shop was with us as well making sure everything went smoothly. I walked out of their salon feeling so beautiful and confident!!! My hair turned out exactly as I described. I have included photos of my hair before and after. (The 1st photo is before, the 3 after that are the after photos. There are no filters on these pictures, just different lighting.) I am so grateful they were able to take me in on such short notice! I will definitely be coming back!

After thoroughly researching local salons and stalling for months because I was afraid to pull the trigger, I finally chose Acute Salon. The name caught my eye, the website felt legit, and the stylist quiz was a nice touch. Most of the availability was booked out, which I took as a good sign, but I needed a cut right then, so I rolled the dice. For once, it worked out perfectly. I landed with Yaya, and I’m honestly so glad I did. From the start she was warm, attentive, and completely understood where I was coming from. I loved the intake form and photo upload option because it let me explain what I needed without over-talking it. After a decade with the same stylist, this felt like a first date, but Yaya made it easy. She got it right on the first try. I left with great hair and zero anxiety about where I’ll go next. What I didn’t leave with was a plan to “fix it” when I got home which is sometimes the case when getting a fresh cut and/or seeing a new stylist. I can confidently say I got what I paid for and her prices were well in line with the quality of service along with her skills as a stylist. Feels like the beginning of a solid stylist relationship, and I’m already looking forward to the next time we see each other.

Acute is honestly one of THE most incredible salons I've been in~ The space is clean, beautiful, and so welcoming. 🌈💞🎉 My barber, Mason, is one of a kind. They are so attentive to your hair requests and concerns and I just loved our conversations. 🫰🏼 My haircut is perfection! The fade is so crisp and smooth. The eyebrow cut is precise. The texture, razored top is so versatile in styling. They literally slayed~ Can't wait to keep coming back. Thank you Mason and Thank you Acute! It's nice to feel safe again 🌈💕
