We had a private event and had the opportunity to do a wine tasting outside. This vineyard was beautiful and really enjoyed the Malbec. They also had hors d'oeuvres which were all tasty, especially the crispy chicken sandwich and tomato soup. Everyone there was so friendly and loved talking to the owners. Glad I was able to bring back two bottles back home to enjoy!

Lovely experience- laid back, friendly staff, beautiful view. You need a reservation for tasting. Reasonable prices. No dogs or kids allowed. Paved driveway to sandy parking area. Can choose to sit at a table or Adirondack chair. No food but you can bring your own snacks. Bottles of water came with tasting. A large, accessible portable toilet was on site near parking with a regular sink outside.

This is a small winery (they produce about 100 cases/year) with great views, good wine, and friendly staff. It can get very warm in Old Almaden, so plan accordingly. They’ve been open for approximately 18 months and are off to a good start. Wines are priced in the $45-$50/bottle range. Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet, Syrah, and port wine are currently being produced. There are eight or so tables for 4-person seating and then a large number of Adirondack chairs facing the vineyard and Almaden Reservoir. A few suggestions for management: a) misters under the canopies to keep it cool. b) offer small bites of food. c) glasses with the winery name on them. Yes, we will return.

Small local vineyards, good wine selections, friendly owner & staff, beautiful lake view. I had $20 included dessert wine for 1 hr tasting, love their wines. Open weekend only. Normally Reservation required but I arrive around 11.45 am they accepted walk-in because it was not busy. Allow to bring your food. RECOMMEND!!!!
