Absolutely love this place! I've been friends with Casey Jones, the in-house luthier, for years and he's the best if you ever need guitars setup or repairs done. I've super impressed at how he can make guitars I've had that are "ok" something incredible. He truly cares that things are the done the right way and deeply vested in making sure you walk away with a proper instrument. We were there to pick up an Alverez my buddy had never really liked and we were both blown away by the improved tone and playability. Also finally got to meet Chris after following Alamo on Youtube for years (go Chris and Cooper!). He was super helpful at providing a trade in estimate since I was looking for a new acoustic. He offered a lot of great advice and assisted with getting the guitar I wanted ordered. Cannot wait until it arrives! The selection was amazing and the personal care these folks take is bar none. Going forward, I'm always going to Alamo. The experience was way more personalized than other places I've been and these guys know what they're talking about. And on a sidenote, the downtown SA location is siiiick. Historic building with vibes you just can't get in strip centers or malls. Go support a local legend and you won't regret it!
