Carter and his staff are very professional and friendly. I felt like my taxes were handled with care and he was very patient with my questions regarding taxes (I know very little like most). His knowledge and expertise made it an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Carter and his crew at Alaska Tax Service.

This is our second year coming to Alaska Tax Service and we are very satisfied. Carter and the rest of the staff were very friendly. Carter took the time to explain the process to my husband and I. They were able to get us in earlier than our original scheduled time with no hassle. Love the welcoming environment. Definitely recommend them!

I would of given a -1 if I could. As the ratings were 5star reviews and claiming good service, I decided to give them a try this year. My appointment was set to see Sean and verified for the date and time. Showed up early and filled new client packet. Then was told I was not to be seen until a different Monday. Front receptionist went to ask if someone else was available and so Carter said he had time due to a cancelled appointment. Before entering I explained that I was not doing just a W2 tax, he still insisted he can do it today. As I walked in he seemed on the edge already. As I explained to him what taxes I need to do he demanded documentation that was not needed for the type of tax I was needing to do. He had a rude demeanor and was impatient with me. Stopped me while I was speaking and said an extension was going to be filed because his plate is full and for me to leave and set another appointment. How do you suggest a extension without even seeing my profile and not understanding what I was explaining to you. Very poor service from this person but the only good news was that the front receptionist was awesome.
