Horrible experience. I was yelled at by the manager in front of my kid. My child and I were kicked out and threatened to have security called on us only because I requested my tax records back to take them else where. They also stole my tax papers by refusing to return them to me. I contacted their head quarters and they just ignored my concern. Terrible staff, and place to do business with. Zero stars. 1 is too high.

I caution everyone against working with this company. My experience was unprofessional and unhelpful. The condensed version is that I went to H&R Block for one purpose: so that I could compare the results of my wife and I filing jointly or separately because this decision could have ramifications for my student loan payments. This task was too complicated for them. In early January, I met with a tax analysist at this location. I told her that I would need her to run our taxes jointly and separately. I was told that this would not be a problem. I wanted to get everything done early, so I uploaded my tax documents on the day that I received them. I had nearly everything uploaded by the first week of February. About a month later I messaged H&R Block. No response. A few days after that, I messaged H&R Block and reminded them of our January conversation. No response. In mid-March I asked for an update, and I was told they would be done by the end of next week. That did not happen. In early April I asked for an update. No response. This happened repeatedly. I finally went into the office on April 12 and I was promised it would be done that day. To H&R Block’s credit, they did complete the joint return on that day. But they completely ignored the entire reason why I came to them in the first place. Two days before Tax they finally gave me the numbers for joint versus separate but did it in confusing and grammatically incorrect messages where I could not tell the actual final amounts. It took added prompting to get that information. On Tax Day I called H&R Block to see if they would get my taxes done in time. I was told yes. So, I sat and waited. At ten minutes to midnight, I noticed that they had requested an extension that was never communicated to me or approved of by me. They finally filed my taxes on April 17. It was incredible expensive and I was not offered any discount for the delay. I was never able to seek out the other consultations that I needed because of this. I understand that the people working there are humans and I do not want to discredit the human needs of the employees. However, I chose this company for the safety of a larger organization. I figure that if one person could not do their job, there would be more there to fill in the gaps. That is not the case. Even when it became abundantly clear that the person assigned to my case could not get it done satisfactorily and in time, the case was never spun off to someone else. I cannot recommend this location.

Filed my taxes in April. Come to find out the paperwork was NEVER submitted. Only found out because they called my wife and I for their payment. Payment for work they never did! Now they wasted 2 months of my time and have absolutely nothing to say for it! Not even an apology. Have never been treated this poorly and would highly recommend staying always from these locations

Incredibly disappointed with this service. I have not been able to get ahold of the H&R Block CPA, Danita Parker, who was in charge of filing my taxes. She told me everything was all good on April 15th, and I had follow up questions, but she ghosted me. I have sent dozens of emails, and tried calling with no response. I never received confirmation if my taxes had been filed or not. I received a follow up call that from an H&R Block associate today... I was informed my taxes weren't filled, no extension was filled, and that I'm accruing penalties, of which I was not made aware. Would never recommend this company to anyone!

***5/5/22 Made an appointment, done in less than 1 hour. They made good. Happy again. The trick is ..don't try to accomplishing it via phone, just make an in-person appointment. (If you get the call center don't even bother using them to leave messages. They are a mess.) Danita the manager is the bomb.com. She explained a lot of details. Shannon Loffer rocks. Very fast at what she does. Very personable and pleasant in-person experience. ***5/2/22 These guys are the worst in customer service and THE WORST at taxes. I've been trying to get an update since 3/31 This company literally has THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! No one has called me back after leaving 15 or 20 voicemails, messages, and emails. They say some one will call and they never do. Someone by the name of Sharron Loffer was supposed to call me tonight between the hours of 6:45 and 7 pm. BOOM! NO CALL AGAIN. RUN! DO NOT WALK, RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY DO NOT TRUST them at all. IT IS HORRIBLE. This level of mismanagement and lack or responsibility and disservice is unspeakable. NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE. I've called the support team and call center time and time again and no one has helped NO ONE has returned any calls and my taxes are likely still not done and likely no extension filed Who knows? I don't. This is egregious. 3/31/22 Oh my gosh just drop it off or walk in and boom baby! Presto Refund-O! The tax people are awesome. Especially Crystal Taylor, Senior Tax Specialist.
