I’ve been playing in Tim Bedner’s jazz band for over 10 years or so. A very rewarding and educational experience. For the past 2 Augusts Ross Morgan took over Tim’s sessions while Tim took a break. Ross was very engaging and supportive and challenged us musically

I took a few weeks lessons this summer to increase my knowledge of Jazz Guitar with Ross. He's a great instructor, very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. He was happy to dig into any corner of music theory and practice I wanted to talk/learn about. Alcorn Music studio in general is lovely. It's a safe and relaxed space, and they seem to contribute greatly to the Ottawa music community. I'm happy to recommend them and will be back in the future!

Alcorn is fun and inviting environment. Ross is a great guitar instructor and his easy going approach and in-depth knowledge has improved my understanding and technique in a short period of time. Highly recommend.

I've been playing in one of the adult jazz groups run by Tim Bedner for several years. I started as a very beginner jazz player and have (hopefully) progressed from there. This is an amazing facility with good teachers. So happy to have an opportunity to learn here. Friends (fellow musicians) from out of town came to the last recital and were very impressed with the space and the performances.

I am a member of a beginner jazz group taking lessons at Alcorn. I started with the group just before COVID hit 4 years ago. Lovely people to deal with. Our instructor is fabulous. We are all retired and thoroughly enjoying the experience. I always look forward to our Tuesday afternoon sessions.
