I thoroughly enjoyed a presentation by Alpha1 at a local restaurant after RSVPing to a flyer I received in the mail. Great food, pertinent information, and some entertainment by 'Spike' as he educated all in the room. Imagine my delight when I received another flyer several months later for another presentation! I thought to myself that Alpha1 must have updated information for me based on changes in tax law, fresh outlooks on funding and managing a retirement account in light of the current administration's turbulent handling of the economy, and, of course, more entertainment by Spike. The RSVP/registration process was simple and stress-free , and for the last week or so I've been looking forward to the event. Imagine my disappointment today when a nice-sounding lady called and rescinded the invitation based on my having attended the previous event. I cannot imagine a more efficient strategy to drive away customers who may have been on the fence about forking over management of a retirement account to Alpha1. I truly hope that approach works out for you guys and gals. My 3 star review is the average of 5 and 1, based on my 2 interactions with Alpha1. Food for thought: If you can't get your act together enough to manage your marketing mailers, how can you possibly have your act together enough to manage complex retirement accounts?
Our financial planner, Gus Skinner, has done a fantastic job with setting up our ( my wife and I) portfolios to provide retirement income while still growing our account balances.
