As an AppSumo user since June 2017 who has purchased 238 deals, I would like to share my opinion. I have witnessed AppSumo's evolution from its modest beginnings, when new deals appeared sporadically, to the present day, when new offers appear daily. Consequently, the current offer includes hundreds of products and dozens of courses, with older ones disappearing after a specified period of time. While it is no surprise that some offers are less successful, customers are generally given 60 days to try out the products they have bought and receive a full refund if needed. Furthermore, the Support Team used to respond promptly and effectively to requests for assistance. Unfortunately, it seems that AppSumo's philosophy has changed. Now, even the weakest software developers and their terms and conditions take precedence. Deals limited to one year with no possibility of a refund are being promoted. Furthermore, the moderation team accepts suggestions of bribery as being compliant with their community guidelines, which is unfair. Either way, enjoy lots of delicious tacos!

I use most of them and for those that I decided to use the refund option when applicable : the AppSumo was great to apply the refund with no question and very rapidly.
