Highly recommend the Academic Drawing class, which I took with instructors Maria and Jeff. Their instruction and detailed critique really helped me understand the concepts of academic drawing and art as a whole, and led to a newfound appreciation of values and perspective and polishing one's own artistry. The facilities and open studio hours are very accommodating, supportive, and a comforting space to explore art and improve on skills. 10/10!

I took Academic Drawing, Intro to Fine Arts, Charcoal Portrait, and inking classes with Andrew, and I learned so much. He is a great teacher; he has such a kind way of helping you see how you can improve as an artist and always gives commendation over your progress. I’ve had a confidence problem with art for many years. I really had trouble when it came to adding depth of tone and shadows; I was always so afraid to make a mistake I couldn’t fix. I left the class feeling much more confident and equipped to create art that I could be proud of. I highly recommend classes with Andrew and Art School of SF Bay. Can’t wait to take many more classes! Highly recommended.

I took a few classes at the Art School of SF Bay, including Key Elements and Academic Drawing with Andrew. The school offers a supportive and inspiring environment for artists of all levels, and the classes are well-structured to help you grow. Andrew is an understanding and encouraging teacher, and the lessons not only helped me improve as an artist but also reignited my joy in creating. After just a few sessions, I decided to sign up for Human Anatomy and Open Studio, which I am currently attending. I would highly recommend the Art School of SF Bay and Andrew to anyone looking to develop their skills and passion for art.

I took several classes here and in other locations of Art School of SF Bay as an adult artist. Andrew is my favorite teacher by far and I've learned a lot from him. I've grown a lot as an artist thanks to his classes, and I can safely say that any skill level artist who takes his classes (and takes them seriously) will also learn a lot. He's a friendly person who actually wants you to learn. Highly recommend Andrew.

I took the Academic Drawing course taught by Andrew Kim and it's been a blast. I'm a complete beginner and the course has been super fun and I've learned a lot. Even though I haven't been practicing at home the improvement in my art from before and after this course has been substantial because Andrew is very helpful and easy to learn from.
