The Wednesday night figure drawing sessions are my favourite, thanks to Maria's excellent coordination of models and her ability to create a welcoming and safe environment for everyone involved. I’ve been taking classes at Maria’s Art Workshop for 7 years. Maria herself is a well educated, creative artist who effectively shares her knowledge with learners of all ages and levels of experience. She offers instruction in a wide range of mediums from pencils to oilpaint. Those materials are included in the lesson. More experienced students are guided in their independent projects while beginners (including children, young adults and those with special needs) benefit from Maria’s attentive approach to teaching fundamentals. I attended weekly, and favor watercolours. I recently started joining the adults only live figure drawing sessions in the evening finding them challenging and interesting. The art studio is large sunny and well equipped. 5 stas!!
