As we continued along our journey, we stumbled upon this spot and had a feeling it was going to be a good one. It turned out to be even better than expected. The tasting room had a nice buzz to it, but the hospitality never missed a beat. The staff was phenomenal, taking the time to walk us through the wines with care and clarity, never making us feel rushed, and helping us truly understand what we were tasting. That kind of warmth and attention goes a long way and really sets the tone for the experience. As we settled in and enjoyed our flights, the aromas coming from the kitchen were hard to ignore and only added to the overall comfort of the space. Everything about this place felt warm, cozy, and inviting from start to finish. An easy five stars. I’d highly recommend this winery to anyone looking for a calm, relaxing, and genuinely welcoming place to spend a weekend afternoon.

I feel so lucky to live to close to such an exceptional vineyard. I haven’t had a drop of wine or bite of food that hasn’t surpassed every expectation. Ashton Creek rivals any vineyard that exists in the Charlottesville area. Their mission of supporting local ASPCA and shelters just makes it that much more meaningful. If you do get lucky enough to try this venue, I highly recommend anything… my favorites being the Bailey’s Bold (red), Willie’s white or traminette (still and sparkling whites) or the lady may. Check out their seasonal sushi offering and seasonal cocktails, and while all the food is some of the most delicious fare I’ve had in Virginia, the yardbird sandwich and crab dip are two of my favorites. I can’t say enough good things about this vineyard. It’s such a treat.

Just got back from their Fall Festival. I tasted 2 of their white wines and their Rose. I am typically a Chardonnay drinker, so I enjoy a dryer wine. I decided that I would buy a bottle of their Lady May Rose. It was delicious and surprisingly dry. The weather was beautiful and the scenery was amazing because the tasting room was right on the water. I will definitely be back for other events. I will have to find out where I can get this wine other than at the vineyard. (The grandkids enjoyed the baby lambs, pumpkin painting, and your friendly dogs.)

Found this winery on our travels. Beautiful both inside and out. Large variety of whites, roses, and reds. You can create a flight. I enjoyed 2 glasses of different roses. I preferred the Lady May. My boyfriend got the red, Bailey's Bold, which he enjoyed. Servers were quite friendly. They also had a good variety of food. We had the cheese board and a light salad. Perfect to go with the wine. Looked like a nice venue for a party or wedding. I would go back.

We were passing through the area and found this gem online. The bar staff was excellent; the food was excellent; and the vibe was excellent! There was a live band playing in the barn area. They could be heard and enjoyed in the patio area as well. The main bar was quiet. There was a space for everyone. They have a large selection of wine, and we found a few that we enjoyed, but the food was the main event for me. I had the burger, the 3 cheese crab dip, and the Brussels sprouts. Each was bursting with flavor and creativity.
