I had a massage in January 2026, and advised provider I was with Bupa at that time. I was provided with a receipt with the relevant Bupa provider number but when I went to claim, Bupa advised me that the provider ceased to be recognised by Bupa in December 2025. Massage was fine, but obviously it’s frustrating that I wasn’t informed that the provider was no longer recognised by Bupa before I paid for the service. I’d recommend checking that the provider is recognised by your health fund before paying for the service if you intend to make a claim for remedial massage.
