DO NOT RECOMMEND! We just had our car serviced with them recently.A regular inspection would cost around 200 dollars but they charged us an extra 100 dollar. In addition, before the inspection we had no wheel cracking & clanking but after the inspection there was a clear difference with an almost constant clanking with the front wheels. They want to charge us around 900 dollars for fixes that could be done for around 450. If you wish for your car to be serviced here be on your guards.

I recently had my car serviced at Autorite City, and the experience was disappointing and alarming. After the service, my car encountered a severe issue while driving on the Kwinana Highway. Initially, it was fine for the first 20 minutes at 110 km/h, but suddenly it made a loud noise, lost speed, and wouldn't accelerate. The speed dropped from 110 km/h to 60 km/h, and I couldn't speed up on the highway, which is extremely dangerous. I had to stop in the emergency lane and get my car towed to Kwinana. Being a new driver, this was my first accident, and being stranded on the highway was truly traumatizing. I shudder to think of what could have happened if I had been in the right lane when the speed dropped. When I took the car to another mechanic, they could reproduce the issue when they did a test drive and identified the problem as an over-adjusted handbrake, an issue caused during the service at Autorite City. Despite this, Autorite City denied any wrongdoing, claiming the handbrake was within the standard range but "slightly tight." While they did adjust the handbrake after I brought the car back, they failed to acknowledge their mistake or offer an apology. ————————————————- Read this part if you want to know Why This Happens: Initial Normal Operation: At the start, the brakes might not be in direct or severe contact, allowing normal driving. Heat Build-Up: Driving at high speed (110 km/h) for an extended period (20 minutes) generates significant heat. This heat can cause the brake components to expand. Increased Friction: As the brakes heat up, the overadjusted components can create increased friction, eventually making it harder to maintain speed and causing noticeable noise. ——————————————————- It's been a month since this incident, and I am still paranoid about driving on the highway. The experience left me so shaken that I could only write this review now. I am still nervous and constantly anxious while driving, especially on freeways. This ordeal has seriously impacted my confidence and peace of mind. The mistake made by Autorite City was not just inconvenient; it was potentially fatal and could have caused a serious accident or even death. Given this experience, I cannot recommend Autorite City. Their lack of accountability and refusal to acknowledge or apologize for their error is concerning. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their service quality to prevent similar incidents from happening to others.
