This place was absolutely fantastic. I found here what I could not find in Paris. They special made for me and eclair with custard, not chocolate, not coffee, pure custard, a traditional eclair, and also their cardamom and orange bun was out out of this world, their other things absolutely delicious! The service was amazing and the pastry chef is a true culinary expert and very accommodating

As a local in the area, their almond croissant / pain au chocolat is my absolute go-to. Fresh and filled generously with frangipane, yet not heavy at all. Some of the best pastries in London. Staff is so friendly as well🫶

The best croissant i’ve had - pistachio and chocolate (and there’s a divine pistachio filling). It costs £6.95 but after first bite I can’t even be mad. This is now a monthly treat for me and also a daily challenge to keep walking passed without falling back into the shop. Glad I discovered it at least.

Hands down the best almond croissant I've ever had! I stopped by Aux Pains de Papy for breakfast right before an interview, and it was the perfect start to the day. It truly lives up to the "best in show" reputation. Just a heads-up on the logistics: it is a bit of a walk from the main King's Cross station, and the indoor seating wasn't quite what I expected - it's mostly standing bar-style arrangements rather than cosy tables. However, the quality of the pastries completely makes up for it. I will be coming back here again and again.
