They took very good care of my dog. They called ahead to ask about her personality and history. Took great measures to adjust to her needs. All staff were polite and professional. I highly recommend bringing your pet here.

I love this clinic! The vets, the technicians are very professional, knowledgeable and kind. However the only reason I sometimes hesitate to call or even go to this clinic is due to the lack of the customer service provided at the check in desk. They are the first impression we get when visiting the vet and it’s not always so nice. I feel like I’m an inconvenience when I am greeted or ask questions, even over the phone. Besides this, I think the team does a great job when I bring my fur babies in and would still recommend this Vet’s office to everyone.

My doggo just had his first visit at Babcock Hills Veterinary Hospital this weekend, and I'm happy to say we had a great establishment of care experience! Our new provider is Dr. Gail Ramsey, and she is so fantastic! I really felt that she took the time to examine my pup thoroughly, review his history, and confirm any questions that my partner and I had regarding his care. She never made us feel rushed or hurried through the visit, and we were able to accomplish all of our goals for his new patient check-in with her. :-) The office is clean, well-kept, and all of the staff are so kind + accommodating (from the team at the front desk to the vet techs who brought my pup into the exam room before his visit with Dr. Ramsey)! Looking forward to continuing to work with this crew - thanks so much, Babcock Hills!

I brought my two dogs in for their annual exams and was impressed by the level of care and professionalism from the staff. The vet was very knowledgeable and clearly cared about my dogs’ well-being, which I appreciated. That said, the total bill came out to $917 for two healthy dogs, which was a shock. Without clear upfront communication, I was “recommended” to do lab work as part of the exam—only to find out afterward that it was $199 per dog. Had I known the cost beforehand, I absolutely would have declined. They also encouraged some additional vaccines that turned out to be more expensive than the exact same ones offered by local mobile clinics like Vanguard. In short, while the care was good, the pricing felt intentionally unclear. I don’t mind paying for quality care, but I expect transparency—not to be hit with expensive charges after the fact. Be sure to ask for a full cost breakdown before agreeing to any recommendations.

Dr Gomes took care of all 3 of my fur babies over the years - moose, rocky, & Sadie. (Thyroid issues, bit paw, broken foot, annual check ups, and everything in between!) I was so sad to leave San Antonio & had to find another vet. But she was always so good to my doggies - the whole staff was great. Definitely recommend! 🤍
