MJ worked with our very high energy Bernedoodle. He is still very much a puppy but over 90 pounds. 😑 Was extremely grateful for her guidance and support. You get weekly assignments to work on for reinforcement. Our dog loved her. 🥰 Definitely recommend her and will do more advanced training come summer.

After we adopted our puppy Murphy, we quickly realized he was going to be a big guy who needed proper training to ensure we could handle him. Wen Tze responded right away and helped us choose the two-week board and train program (Puppy Bootcamp) to give all of us the best start. Before starting his official training, Murphy attended daycare several times at Posh Pet Club, and he absolutely loves it there! He comes home happy, exhausted, and ready for dinner. It’s such a wonderful environment for him to socialize with other dogs and interact with humans who clearly have experience and a genuine love for animals. Leading up to the board and train, Connor, Murphy’s trainer, checked in to understand our priorities and made himself available to answer questions. During the training, he organized a Google Drive and shared daily videos that were incredibly helpful. They not only showed Murphy’s progress but explained why each skill matters and how we can reinforce the training moving forward. Murphy learned to focus, sit, stay, come, walk politely through doors, walk on a leash, recall, stop jumping on people, and so much more. One thing I learned through this process is that in order to be a great dog trainer, you also need to be a strong teacher for people. Connor is an expert at both and explained everything in a way that felt doable and not overwhelming. Posh Pet Club also sent daily updates and photos of Murphy enjoying playtime, which eased my nerves about leaving him for two weeks. His return home was seamless. Being such a young dog, I worried he might forget us, but he settled right back in without any issues. We practice a little every day, and he has become such a cool, calm, confident dog. I’m amazed by how well-behaved he is when new people arrive at our house or when he encounters other dogs on walks. Back to Basics Dog Training and Posh Pet Club has been wonderful for us. Murphy is thriving, and we feel confident thanks to their expertise and care. I highly recommend both for anyone looking for exceptional training and a safe, fun daycare/boarding experience!

Wen, Connor, and her staff at Back to Basics have been an absolute game changer for our 4 month old Blue Heeler/ Border Collie mix Salami. She completed the 2 week Board and Train program. I was so nervous and anxious about leaving her in the care of someone else but Wen and her team at PPC have taken such good care of Salami and sent daily report cards and photos (the highlight of my day). Wen also sent training updates with videos 3x a week, which was so cool to see her progress during her time there. Salami has successfully learned basic commands such as “sit”, “lay down”, “stay”, “place”, “leave it”, and “off”. She is much less reactive on walks, her leash walking skills are much better, and her separation anxiety is almost entirely gone. We are now able to leave Salami in her crate to help with potty training and she no longer cries and barks incessantly. We also have noticed a huge difference in how Salami interacts with our 7 year old son. She is gentle, does not bite, and is able to regulate herself. When Salami returned home from her training we could immediately see a difference. Wen and her team are so good at what they do and we could not have asked for a better experience for our Salami. Wen is also very responsive to any questions and additional help we need with Salami. She truly values her clients and pups!

From the first phone call I knew Back to Basics was going to be a good experience. I have taken my reactive chihuahua to multiple training programs before finding back to basics. If you have a reactive dog, Wen Tze will be the trainer for you! The training consists of 5 weekly sessions taking place outside. Your dog will learn the obedience basics in the first three sessions & Wen Tze will give daily homework to practice in 15 minute sessions home. Then, for the last 2 sessions Wen Tze will incorporate other dogs in the sessions. Your reactive pup can practice his obedience in real time with other dogs around. This is game changer compared to other training programs where your dog is alone, and not being put in real life situations where other dogs are present. After 5 weeks my chihuahua has improved a lot. My dog and I have learned the tools to practice on our own. I feel very relieved & more comfortable with my pup!! I’m no longer anxious to take him on walks in my busy neighborhood. Thanks Wen Tze!

Wen Tze is amazing! We have two mini Dachshunds that needed a lot of work and training. Otis (9 y/o) was very barky at home and Benny (2 y/o) was very reactive towards kids and other dogs whenever we would walk. Wen Tze taught us how to correct their behavior during walks and getting their attention, and it has definitely helped out a lot. We had weekly homework and she would check in to see their progress. In the past, Benny would bark and lunge at other dogs, but after the training program, she is definitely less barky/reactive and we know how to get her to focus her attention on us instead of other dogs. Now we feel more confident when walking. Thanks again for training all of us!
