Whether you are a watcher or performer, St. Louis Ballet is an excellent choice. Positive, uplifting atmosphere for classes and training. Amazing artistry in company performances. If you are a supporter of the Arts in St. Louis, this is a beautiful place to invest your effort.

The STL ballet never disappoints. We see them every year for The Nutcracker and this year we plan to also see Sleeping Beauty now my daughter feels like she’s ready to watch a longer ballet. We appreciate all the different forms of art the city has to offer and at prices anyone can afford. We could not be more appreciative of every ballerina and ballerino who put everything they have into their craft.

Great dance school with lots of class offerings. Many are taught by dancers in the company. Most classes are for school aged children, but there are adult classes I love that they have an adult beginner ballet class. Michael is a great teacher. Sessions start in the fall and run all year. If you are a true beginner, start at the beginning of a session. If you are an intermediate or advanced beginner, you could join mid-session. Drop-in rate is $20 per class. You can also buy a class card, or pay monthly tuition. Staff is helpful and responsive with questions or assistance.

As a pianist for the Company I get a rare opportunity to see the dancers "behind the scenes." They are wonderful people and incredible artists, making even their warm-up beautiful. The performances I have seen over the last few years have been of a consistently dazzling quality, bringing me to tears more than once. St. Louis is truly blessed to have this amazing ballet company!
