We love BIA! My daughter has thrived since joining the academy in kindergarten. All of the teachers and administrators are excellent — they provide a safe, nurturing environment that truly can help our children shine. Participating in events and other activities is always encouraged with respect for all involved. BIA is simply the best ballet academy in Idaho.

We very much appreciate what Ballet Idaho Academy (BIA) does for our young dancers. Our daughter started when she was 5 years old. She is still in the academy, as a senior in high school, finishing her final year. The BIA instructors are great, very talented and instruct the dancers as real athletes and artisans. BIA provides a thoughtful, encouraging and disciplined approach to ballet.

The Academy is very strict about MASKING and perpetuating covid protocols, despite it being 2024 and the rest of the world moving on, and despite it being wildly illegal to do so. They are prepared to exclude children from participation in classes and performances if they won't mask. If this is your cup of tea—and there are apparently many families who are ok with this—then this is your place. If you are for the rule of law and for breathing unobstructed, stay away, don't even consider this place. There is at least one other high quality ballet academy in the area that supports children's body autonomy.

I love this ballet company. The dancers are phenomenal athletes and very humble. The staff are engaging and friendly. I started taking adult ballet classes 8 years ago here and I always feel so welcome.

Peter Anastos is a true genius and we are fortunate to call him our friend and our Artistic Director.
