The Chesapeake team at Banfield has been nothing short of amazing! I truly appreciate the care and expertise this team brings. Bailey is always so kind and caring, and I know my pup Ace is in great hands whenever he visits with Dr. Lebron. Thank you all for treating him like family!
They charged us for medicine and forgot to give it to us. They called saying we could get it in a voicemail THEN tried to gaslight us that they didn’t know that we never got the medicine. About to cancel my subscription for both my dogs here. Additionally, we paid for nail clipping but I got the dog back and could not tell they were ever clipped. The nails still had dirt on them which wouldn’t be there if the nails were cut. Beware of this location.
Absolutely enjoy coming there! Toby is always a great help and is always willing to do what needs to be done for my chili. She also is very professional and can keep calm during any situation. All of the front desk staff are and have always been friendly. Will definitely keep doing business with this location!
The staff at this location is extremely unprofessional! I had a scheduled appointment for my fur baby, that was a drop off appointment. I was scheduled to drop off my baby at 7:15 am and his appointment required sedation. I was sent an email that said he could not have food or water 4 hours prior to his appointment drop off time. I work Monday through Friday second shift so when I inquired about pick up time I was given a 3:00-4:00 window. When I inquired about his procedure time I was met with resistance. I explained I am asking because I would need to coordinate his pick up. I was told that they perform all procedures on the most aggressive animals first and because my fur baby was not aggressive he would be last. This meant he would be the 5th in line. When I ask why he needed to be dropped off so early if his procedure would late morning early afternoon I was again met with resistance and attitude. I was told that labs would need to be done before his procedure which was just a teeth cleaning procedure. Clearly in house labs do not take 4-5 hours. When I told the vet tech I needed a more precise pick up time or I would have to cancel and just find somewhere else to do the cleaning. She responded by saying you are more than welcome to leave and find somewhere else to go. I responded by saying wait you sound upset this is not meant to be directed at you with ill intent. While yell at me she said mama you will not talk to me like that and I will not tolerate you talking to me this way. I asked what are you talking about, she hung up on me! I have been going to this location for almost 3 years and I have never been insulted the way I was today. I was treated like I was being verbally aggressive. I wish I could attach the voice recording of this call. I have now cancelled my plan with them and will never go back. That type of attitude towards me raised red flags and I would be a nervous wreck if I dropped my baby off unsupervised. Stay far away from Banfield altogether unless you enjoy being racially profiled and disrespected!
🌟 Five-Star Review for Banfield Pet Hospital – 1236 Greenbrier Parkway What started as a stressful morning turned into a powerful moment of calm, care, and clarity—thanks to the exceptional professionalism and kindness of the Banfield team. When I arrived with my two friendly pups, they naturally got excited seeing another dog in the waiting area. Unfortunately, the other client responded with visible hostility. She did not clearly communicate that her dog was aggressive or dealing with trauma, and instead of calmly asking for space, her tone created tension for me and another family nearby. Had she simply said, "My dog is fearful or reactive, please give us space," the entire moment could have been diffused. As a responsible pet owner, I personally would have muzzled my dog in a public setting to protect others if there was any risk. As a retired disabled veteran, this unexpected confrontation triggered my fight-or-flight response. Recognizing that, I requested to speak with the manager—and that’s when I met Chris. Let me say this clearly: Chris is a true peacemaker. He gave me his full attention, spoke with patience and empathy, and truly listened. Chris explained that although I had been told our drop-off was between 0730–0800, my partner had received a follow-up call from the clinic that moved our time to 0715–0730 to avoid overlap with a reactive pet. Unfortunately, that update was never relayed to me—completely unintentional, yet understandably frustrating. Chris didn’t pass the blame. He remained calm, clear, and incredibly professional. He reassured me that he would speak with his team, conduct additional training, and make sure future communications are crystal clear. He turned a moment of tension into a conversation grounded in understanding, not blame. And let me take a moment to shower Ms. Beverly and Alyssa with appreciation as well! Their bedside manner is incredible—warm, compassionate, and filled with the kind of energy that helps both pets and people feel safe and welcome. They are truly the heartbeat of that clinic (and the treats help too! 😅🐾). To Chris—thank you for showing up with grace, professionalism, and peace. You reminded me that leadership is not just about policies—it’s about people. To the team at Banfield Greenbrier: you are appreciated, respected, and valued. Thank you for holding space when emotions ran high and for turning the day around with kindness and understanding. With all sincerity, A proud, thankful client and Navy vet 🐶💛
