Pretty unhappy with the cut I received yesterday. I went in for a fade - showed an example of what I thought would look good and left it up to the barber to use their judgement for the cut. They took the fade pretty high and I unfortunately left looking pretty chopped. I pretty immediately felt the need to put a hat on after I left and feel uncomfortable going out in public without a hat on now. Unfortunate experience

Barbon’s Barbershop is more than just a place to get a haircut it’s a true community spot where people feel welcome and connected. Parking is easy, and I’ve heard nothing but great feedback from friends and even folks who drive 40 minutes just to come here. It’s definitely a plus having them right next door.

Alan is awesome! He did an amazing job and made the whole experience so fun. He brought such positive energy. The cut came out exactly how I wanted; I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend him!

Honestly, at first, I was skeptical. I've been in Austin for the better part of 15 years and seen dozens of barbershops rise and fall. But my barber Alan - who has been the only person I trust to cut my hair for the last few years - recently moved to this shop, so I figured I’d give it a shot and I have to admit I was truly impressed. From the moment I walked in, I instantly felt both welcomed and comfortable. The staff was super attentive, and I barely had to wait at all to get seated. It was a Thursday morning when I stopped by, so I politely declined the complimentary spirits, but it looked like they had a great selection along with some other drinks like cold brew. It’s a very well put together shop with lots of good parking if you're in a spot that is not convenient to walk or bike to or from. Overall, the vibe inside was great - it was busy enough not to feel dead or awkward, but at the same time you didn't hear barbers shouting across the room at each other or feel like everyone else was listening to the conversation that you were having. If you need a great haircut near downtown Austin, and you value quality both in the craftsmanship and service of the staff, I would highly recommend checking this place out. Bonus points if you’re able to get in with Alan - he’s the best.

Barbon’s is exceptional at delivering consistent haircuts every time. I’m a difficult client, but Alan was excellent at understanding what kind of style I was aiming for and providing input on how to achieve it. Ultimately the only thing I care about when I walk out the doors is does the cut look right, and at Barbon’s it always does.
