First of all, the positive. GREAT quality haircuts. Type of place I can walk in and basically my regular barber remembers exactly what cut I want. Love it for that. My main gripe is checking out. The last handful of times when using my card, I’ve been charged a “credit card fee”; and it was not disclosed. Sometimes it is added AFTER you add your tip while the transaction is processing and it makes the total more than you expected. Another time, I was charged more for the haircut than what was advertised on the website when booking. Overall, this feels like an unethical way of squeezing customers in what I already consider an expensive experience. These late stage capitalism times we live in is truly depressing.

For $77 felt like I got robbed I am shocked I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience was genuinely disappointing. The haircut felt extremely rushed — the entire appointment was over in under 30 minutes. There was very little consultation, and when I asked about trimming my beard, I was told it couldn’t be done, without any explanation or alternatives offered. The top of my hair was barely addressed, and overall the result didn’t feel finished or tailored at all. For a place with this reputation, I expected a much more attentive and professional experience. I’m sharing this in the hope that management looks into consistency and customer care, because this fell well below expectations.

Barbon's isn't just for men. I had an incredible experience at Barbon getting my long hair trimmed, cut, and styled by Sarita. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was warm, welcoming, and relaxed, and everyone made me feel taken care of. Sarita really listened to what I wanted, offered thoughtful suggestions, and paid close attention to detail the entire time. The finished cut and style were exactly what I was hoping for. My hair feels so healthy, looks amazing, and still feels like “me.” The whole experience felt more like hanging out in a cool space with friends than a typical appointment. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend booking with Sarita if you’re looking for a great cut and a wonderful overall experience.

This has been my go-to barbershop for years. Relaxed atmosphere, talented barbers, easy to book, and consistently great results. Sarita is the best!

Best barbershop in Austin. When I first got here 5 years ago, I ran through a few before landing on Barbon’s, no comparison. Fair price point, very friendly staff, courteous and attentive owner. Can’t go wrong by going to Barbon’s.
