I see Hal at Wild Desert and she is great! She is very sweet and also super knowledgeable when it comes to hair-she always provides so much information when I ask her questions and is willing to work with what your hair goals while keeping your budget in mind. Highly recommend!

I can’t recommend Hal enough. I’m allergic to hair dye, and this is the only place in Austin I trust because they use truly natural, gentle products that don’t irritate my scalp or hair. Hal actually listens to what you want, takes the time to understand your needs, and makes sure you’re comfortable every step of the way. On top of that, the salon itself is absolutely adorable, so many thoughtful, cute details that make the whole experience feel special. If you’re sensitive, picky, or just want someone who genuinely cares about your hair, this is the place. Could not recommend more! 💛✂️

I am new to Austin and was looking for a salon that could manage all of my hair issues and I reached out to several. Hal from Desert Beauty responded right away and got me in for a consultation. Her peaceful, gentle, knowledgeable demeanor set me at ease instantly and I booked an appointment with her. I was not disappointed! My hair looks full, healthy, stylish and like it came back to life! She was wonderful at her job and she is also so fun to chat with and get to know. Book with her and with Desert Beauty. You will not be disappointed.

Hal did an amazing job on my curls! She listened patiently and helped me figure out exactly how I wanted to lighten my hair so I could later dye it with bright colors. She was very gentle styling my curls and always made sure I felt comfortable. The video is of me when I got in the car right after the appointment. She did amazing stylizing my curls with light product, diffuser, and finger coiling my bangs. She knows how to handle curls which is something I rarely find in hair stylists. I'm a very happy customer! Thanks again Hal! 🤩💖

Let me start by saying I travel all the way from Alabama to Texas just to see Alania. She’s been cutting my hair for over a year now and has become not only my go to barber but a great friend. Alania always gives me a phenomenal fade and a perfect scissor cut on top every single time all while making the whole appointment feel like hanging out with a close friend. I couldn’t recommend her enough. If I still lived in Texas, I’d be in her chair every two weeks without fail. This was also my first visit to Wild Desert since Alania moved over. The studio is super nice and located in a great area. I highly recommend checking out Wild Desert and fellas, go see Alania for an immaculate haircut and unbeatable vibes.
