This is our second time using Barkaritaville, unfortunately this time it was a different experience. Besides my dog looking thinner even though Rachael has stated that he only lost a pound and a half in those eight days, besides the fact that we received a full bag of a ziploc of dog food when we gave them two bags of dog food that we had parsed out, we received one bag back, besides the fact that we received his Christmas bone, a half bag of treats, that they told us they had given it to him for Christmas. When I spoke to Rachael about my concerns, she had told me that my dog only lost a pound and a half. She told me that it was an issue that they did not contact us about the bone, even though it was perfectly fine to give him that bone. We called several times during his stay asking if he enjoyed his bone and how he was doing , and we were told each time yes, that he was eating a lot and playing with Penny Lee . We were also not told that he got sick and when we called to let them know that my mother would have to pick up the dog since our flight was delayed at 10am and again a 1pm. 30 minutes before Barkaritaville closed, we received a call asking us if we were coming to pick up our dog, even though I had called 2x confirming my mom would pick him up. The lady informed us that they were not made aware that my mother was coming to pick up the dog, major communication issues and again I’m not sure what happened to my dog while he was there. they seem like sweet people, but there was definitely a difference, for the price that we paid with all the extra services that we requested, I’m not sure if we got those. The general manager did contact us after several days and apologized and said that this is not normal, they’re fixing things and going over policies and procedures .
We have been boarding our dog with them for almost 4 years! We love this place; he always comes home happy, clean, and normal acting. They accommodate any special needs you have for your dog. This is the only place I’ve ever left my dog that he pulls the leash to get in he loves it so much! Other boarders we have used we literally had to drag or carry him in but not here. All the staff love dogs and are so good with them my dog will run up to all of them very excited! Best experience ever for boarding my sweet dog! They have playtime and they make sure your dog fits the personalities of they other dogs they are with so they always have fun outside time. Totally highly recommend them if you want the best place for your dog. We leave him there at least three times a year.
Our Phoebe loves the staff and so do we!!!! They are always so welcoming. Phoebe gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot for her weekly visit drop offs. When we had to have Phoebe stay for a couple of nights I felt at ease leaving her in their care.

For the past 4-5 years, they have been more than just a boarding facility; they've become a second home for Diesel, and let me tell you, he absolutely loves it! The team at Barkaritaville has a magical way of accommodating our last-minute travel plans. It’s like having a trusted friend who’s always ready to welcome Diesel with open arms. I can’t express how comforting it is to know that he’s in such caring hands, even on short notice. One of the highlights of our experience is the delightful report card they send us during his stay. It’s like receiving a little slice of happiness in our inbox! With each update, we get charming photos showcasing Diesel’s adventures, whether he’s frolicking with new friends or enjoying some well-deserved playtime. These snapshots not only reassure us that he’s having a blast but also give us a peek into the joy he experiences while we’re apart. And let’s talk about that bath at the end of his stay! There’s nothing quite like bringing home a happy, clean dog who smells incredible. Diesel struts in the door with a wagging tail and a sparkle in his eye, as if he’s just returned from a tropical vacation. It’s clear that the love and care he receives at Barkaritaville make all the difference. Overall, Barkaritaville is not just a boarding facility; it’s a place where pets thrive, and owners find peace of mind. We wouldn’t dream of taking Diesel anywhere else. This was the first time I took my dog to a boarding facility. The process was smooth, Everyone was friendly and very helpful and Tango had a blast! They have a lot of amenities that a lot of Boarding facilities do not offer, Which I loved. My dog is one of those breeds that needs a lot of exercise a lot of socializing and if not, he gets very bored. The facility is very clean and I love that they are strict on all their shots and the test that they have to have. It made me feel at ease that I didn’t have to worry about him getting sick or him having a bad time. I wanted this first time to be fun for him so he would want to go back in the future, and looked forward to me taking him back. If you’re looking for a place with very friendly staff, Where they get to play with other pups and have a good time…this is Definitely your spot! You will not regret brining your dogs there or have to worry about anything while they’re there. Trust me… I was skeptical about taking him anywhere for the first time, And now I’m not, I have found the place where I know my dog loves to go and will be well taken care of and given lots of love without hesitation! Thanks again, Barkaritaville we will definitely be back in the future!
