I love visiting this book store, there is a large option of books and other book related products. I always go in with a couple of books in mind to aquire then I find more intriguing books that I have to add to my library. The staff is so helpful and one cashier there has been wonderful in suggesting author's books to read that are in one of my favorite genres, historical fiction. It is such a treat to visit this delightful book store.
Didn’t get much photos inside but this is a great bookstore for Anchorage. I have bought a few books here and taken my kids to the kids section and enjoyed some time in here. We have even bought a planner here! Certainly worth a visit! Of course the coffee shop I love!! The Starbucks cafe here is unique! They serve CHEESECAKE from Cheesecake Factory, which we don’t have in Anchorage! I have gone here specifically for a slice of this! They get new flavors in too. Mmm. So go for book shopping, reading, coffee, and cheesecake!
Always a delight to walk through. Far more than just books, but the book selection is the best part- neatly organized to ease browsing. Tons of games and toys as well.
Finally found the Sky-Jo game I’ve been hunting for many months. Amazon didn’t even have it when I started looking. I called the store and the friendly, helpful staff got the game off the shelf and held it for me. Hats off to B&N for pricing!!! Only .04 cents more than Amazon.
While ordering online or via an eBook app is extremely convenient, it is nice to spend time thumbing through pages and browsing selections you might not have thought to type into your search engine. I love any bookstore, big or small, and I am never disappointed when I visit Barnes and Noble in midtown. Like many other B&N locations, they have extensive music, children’s, travel and periodicals sections. They also have a cafe and gift/card area as well. It is a great place to bring the kids or to escape when you have some free time. It is also a good place to meet people. Today I had a nice chat with Chuck, a frequent customer and lover of all things muscle car and The Rolling Stones. Having thousands of books in the vicinity gives an easy jumping point to start a conversation with pretty much anyone.
