I tried to use them every week as I attended school but I got nothing out of it. I even went to career counseling and the man wanted to talk about my emotional struggles instead of my career. He ended our meetings after 6 sessions and I got nothing out of it. There were no events of interest in general. When I finished my studies, there was no career help or advice available.... They had ONE zoom call once. I still get invitations but the events NEVER happen, I never get the zoom link. I don't think I will get assistance with my career from them. They need help with whatever they’re doing because I’m confused about what exactly it is that they do. I get a lot of help from a small community college in the town I live in now and I am doing better now. They need more events and networking and zoom calls with career advice.
I’m not aware of anything they do to deserve the space and budget they have.
Their website and suggestions for graduate school / career paths are top notch. Any organization that is sharing best practices and effective communication toward potential applicants is a winner in my book. The schools I’m applying don’t come close to making suggestions or providing tips with career advice. My inquiry was about grad school letters of recommendations. Times change and communications change too. Their website speaks volumes and will not directly reflect service students or potential students may encounter. This evaluation / appraisal is based on their framing questions that help prospective individuals with letter of intent or reference writing. In short: great reference that is available to all!
Very helpful staff. Great place to go.
