I went in. I knew exactly what I wanted to buy, which was a new laptop, which I hadn’t bought a laptop in eight years. I looked online. There were only two Best Buy that carried the laptop I wanted. Best Buy out priced every other carrier of this laptop, including any online supplier. I went in. I saw the laptop which was clearly displayed, and it was half price. I stopped an associate that was walking by. He said he had to go get it from the back. I waited about 10 minutes. He explained to me that now you have to purchase your software. Maybe you can make comments here, but I ended up buying the software program that is like $99 a year or whatever which includes the upgrades and five devices. I could’ve gotten the one that was like $129 which is one time purchase OTP. Thoughts? Reply to this post and let me know if that was a smart or bad decision. I’ve already loaded on my computer and my son loaded it on his phone and his College laptop. I’m about to put it on this phone. I’m debating though because I might get a new phone, so I’m kind of waiting. Let me know.
Found the right TV for my grandson's bedroom. My Xmas gift was an upgrade from a computer monitor that he was using to watch TV. He went from a 12 inch screen to a 43 inch Sony Brava with 4K. That monitor was his dad's from the early 2000s. The picture quality, sound, and capability is a huge difference of course. The sales person was very knowledgeable and quizzed us how he would use it. If he was a gamer or not. He let us know approximately how long the TV should last. He recommended other brands but we decided on the Sony vs Samsung, LG, or the Hicense TVs. I had a $10 coupon from Best Buy and out the door it was just at $400 for this set. True this Sony was an entry level set but sound and picture are great for my grandson's room
Best Buy is an overall great store. They have amazing deals if you search and their membership benefits are what keep me shopping here. However, this location specifically was giving me such grief over a return I bought from Best Buy online (not a third party vendor). He immediately was questioning me why I wanted to return my items after Christmas and “my family didn’t want them” or “I changed my mind” was not a good enough answer for the employee I was dealing with. At any other store, I have never had any issues with returns of any kind, especially after becoming a Best Buy total plus member. I attempted to return some Ear buds that I purchased for my step father which were brand new and unopened. He scanned my barcode from the app then proceeded to open the headphones since he appeared to think I altered them in some way. After opening them he told me that the serial number didn’t match any best buy in the entire country and he couldn’t issue my refund. IVE ONLY EVER BOUGHT THESE FROM BEST BUY WITH THE RECEIPTS TO MATCH SO HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE!? The next 2 items he allowed me to return but not without first opening and examining the contents of every single little item. I understand if something has been opened that they need to verify, but if it’s a brand new unopened item, he’s just making what could be sold as new, into open box items. Long story short, I now have to ship my return in because of this employee which will take about 30 days according to Best Buy’s policy. Overall terrible experience with this individual and this store. Created a huge line behind me because of this and told me I’m trying to return counterfeit goods to “his store”. Their app and a different store are the only places I’ll be doing any business with going forward.
Pray you never need Custom Service. Waiting over 25 minutes for assistant is out of control. Why do I even bother. Standing in line while all reps do their best as to not make eye contact. Save the trip and visit Amazon.😭
Best buy had a really great sale on labor day so I decided to stop by to purchase a new laptop. Everyone here was super helpful and knowledgeable.
