Disappointing accessibility just getting through the door. The only disabled parking space has a huge planter in the way of the wheelchair accessible, so it couldn't be used in this way. The last few times I visited the double doors inside were closed, and no staff were around downstairs. They are very heavy, and both need to be pinned back for a wheelchair to fit through. The toilets, lifts etc are on the other side.

Really good place to go if you are interested in Buddhism or just want to learn meditation. The team are really welcoming, and there are always interesting people to talk to. There's no pressure on anyone to do anything more than they want to. There are lots of Buddhists and non-Buddhists - quite a lot of people who go are focused on their personal development and making their life a better happier experience. I would 100% give it a go if you are curious.

The Birmingham Buddhist centre is a sanctuary, where you are welcomed with tea, wisdom and friendship. It is a Jewell in Birmingham run by a very special bunch where you can learn to meditate on introductory courses (highly recommend), enjoy stillness and make connections with others and self.

This place has been my spiritual home for over 25 years now. I first walked through the door at a time of emotional distress and was amazed at what the community, dharma teachings and meditation practices were able to offer me. Such kindness and richness.

An amazing island of peace and tranquility in midst of a busy city. Great place for meditation or attending workshops (I was doing yoga). Beautiful garden, nice shop to buy books, incense sticks, etc
