Has been quite a few years since knowing BisonBooks and her owner. Also bought some books from this store. Contact with the owner a few online. Very professional and patient, of course, very knowledgeable. Wish have a chance to pay a visit. Highly recommended

i love this bookstore. respectful staff. good books. and i have never been accused of stealing! i must have spent thousands here already and will continue to do so. --------------------------------------- (i am aboriginal and have been attacked for someone assuming i am thief at other book stores. truth is...i am a nerd who reads fast and has post secondary education. but i look....like a thief? well, i know i look like a native.)

A well maintained used bookstore with a great non-fiction collection. They have a dedicated donation stream to help refresh the shelves. Prices can be on the pricey side, especially for hardcovers, but many are in "Very Good" to "Like New" conditions. Upper shelves on the right for fiction are fairly inaccessible due to their height, I get by with my phone camera.

For a couple years now, I have been in Winnipeg a couple times a month for work, and it has become my habit to go to bison every time I am here. I don’t think I have ever walked out without a gem. I am always excited for my visits. Bison is in the top tier of used bookstores. Highly recommend.
