Went to Chris Hernandez for to get a special piece done that’s near to my heart. He absolutely perfected it and I can say I am blown away by the professionalism and dedication he omits. The attention to detail was unparalleled and I will definitely be going back to him for any other work I get done. A top class artist and a top tier shop!

If you're getting tattooed here, or anywhere, please be clear about what you want. Keep in mind it's YOUR skin and YOUR money. The artist should keep that in mind too. Their work is solid, though, just not happy with my experience. Shop is clean and professional. I can recommend getting piercings here just not a wide range of jewelry, however.

Had an absolutely amazing experience at Black Rose and Dagger today. Staff is friendly, experienced, and incredibly knowledgeable. Super clean shop with even cleaner line work! Huge shout out to @therealmr. kill for this bright and bold Buffalo Head he did for me today. This is the third shop I’ve used in the last decade in the Norfolk area, and by far the best! Will be returning as soon as I’m healed up and intend on being a regular customer. ***EDIT*** I am indeed now a loyal regular customer and have completed six tattoos with Kayne this year. I got this incredible Eye Of The Storm done on my knee this past Saturday. If you are looking for American Traditional that will truly turn heads, Kayne is your man! Between his incredible line work, creative mind, and easygoing personality, he is the artist that will make sure you go out the door smiling and satisfied with your new work of art!

Super solid shop with really chill and EXTREMELY knowledgeable staff. I came in for my first tattoo about a week ago. They were quick to get me signed in and before I was even signed in Chris began sketching my tattoo so we could get a better idea about placement, cost, etc. The shop is decorated really cool so it looks less like a doctor’s office and more like a place where every item/painting/piece has its own story. Chris did an absolutely flawless job and got me in and out quickly as well. They also provide extremely detailed aftercare procedures to make sure you know how to treat the tattoo while it heals. I plan on moving to FL or another part of VA soon but I am planning to fly back just so I can get more tats from this specific shop.

I've had both of my tattoos done here by Randy Stout and Mike Poindexter. They were so kind and accommodating. They explained everything about the aftercare and overall made my experiences worthwhile. I would 100% recommend this shop to anyone looking for tattoos. They have a good variety of pre-made designs and do flashes often. The artists vary in style, too. It's the perfect place. They get you in as quick as possible and they're very clean (as they should be LOL). I was in and out of there in under and hour for both of my tattoos 💓
