So we came here after a Stars game to grab a bite to eat and then kind of chilled with traffic die down. We got a table pretty quickly because overall the restaurant was practically empty It took quite a bit for the server to actually come up to us, so it’s not a big deal. We were just chilling and talking. We heard a lot about the Dr Pepper old-fashioned and when we asked the waiter if it was good, he told us he doesn’t drink so he’s not really sure how to answer that question which was fine. We did ought to get one and overall I would say it was OK. It was a little bit too syrupy. Our friends got the fried pickles. They were really good and really spicy. I hate when you get fried pickles and it ends up being soggy but these are crisp and nice. My wife and I split the burger and it was pretty good. Overall we got the Mexican city. Also fries came with a burger and the fries were pretty on point. Overall, the supper really didn’t come back that often and seem bored to even try to come back even give us refills, which is fine. I mean it is what it is at the end of the day. Overall, just really wasn’t impressed either. That was my wine. Probably wouldn’t come back here again.
We had an amazing experience at Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer Dallas. I came with my best friend and his cousin, and from start to finish, it was a great vibe. The burgers were absolutely on point mine literally melted in my mouth. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and naturally flavorful, not overdone or drowned out. I left feeling satisfied and full in the best way, not heavy or regretful. Now let’s talk about the shakes… because wow. My best friend and his cousin were overjoyed. Those shakes are on another level fun, indulgent, and worth every sip. Overall, the food, the experience, and the time spent together made this visit memorable. We truly enjoyed ourselves, and I already know we’ll be back. Can’t wait for our next visit. 🍔🥤
Review based on one dinner visit. Was there on a late Sunday afternoon on a non-game day, so it was pretty quiet when we arrived. Got a little busier by the time we left. Tried The Mexico City burger. Yes, price is high for a burger but to be fair this was the nicest presentation for a burger that I have had in a while. Even the mayo they put on the bun was neatly spread. The 7 oz burger itself came out medium but with a little bit of a seasoned crust like a steak and was topped with some in house pickled vegetables that I thought were a great touch and added some real heat. Good portion of fries. Did not try one of their over the top milkshakes.
Came here for a birthday celebration because everyone was raving about it online & we saw they had 4.5⭐️ so we made reservations. We arrived & the place is beautiful inside & out. Our waiter Nick was a sweetheart, thank you for your kindness. We order & our food comes out… It’s luke warm 🚩#1, The corn tortilla nachos we added beef for $4 & it was less than an oz of beef 🚩#2, The Texas bbq fries we had 2 orders of & added mushrooms to one for $2. The fries tasted frozen & the tops/ingredients tasted canned & unseasoned… for $13-15? 🚩 #3, our waiter asked what was wrong & we explained it wasn’t to our liking & just wanted the bill for our drink(s). While we’re waiting for the bill a guy comes out & approaches our table, first thing he says “So I hear you were having issues with your food” we all look at him confused as to who he was because no introduction was made 🚩 #4, we tried explaining that the food just wasn’t to our standard & he immediately got extremely defensive & argumentative 🚩 #5, we asked for the bill again & what we assume was the manager wanted to continue being argumentative asking why we didn’t like the food & telling us we were the only ones that’s felt that way. He’s not changing his portion or prices, which no one even mentioned wanting those accommodations 🚩 #6, we asked if he could just get the waiter so we could go because he wanted to continue to fuss & we just wanted to leave. Gabriel The manager, who I was later informed his name was did nothing to fix our 1st time experience while celebrating a birthday. Yet he made it 100x worse, complete nightmare 🚩 #7, The waiter comes back & tells us our total, we paid cash & we never received a receipt 🚩 #8, we sat there for 30mins & no one came back. I got up to go look for the waiter &/or manager & I was informed that they both left 🚩 #9 , I spent another 30mins waiting for a manager in order to get my receipt. Finally a manger (Gabby) who was also a sweetheart gave was our receipt & we left @8:45pm 🤦♀️
Let me start with the positives….our waitress was great and very personable. She made us feel like we were old friends that she was happy to take care of. We started with the Elote Nachos and they were 10/10 definitely recommend! I had the fish and chips sandwich and let’s just say I would not order it again. The fish was very bland. However the fries were great. My fiancé had the Cauliflower burger with sweet potato fries (which are an up charge). I tried his burger and it was pretty good for it to be a veggie burger but I would not order it personally. The restaurant’s ambiance needs a little help as far as cleanliness goes. Some areas of the floor were a little dirty and we were fighting gnats as we were trying to eat. I went to use the restroom and opted out of using the restroom because there was urine on the floor in 2 of the stalls. The restrooms are a shared open concept.
