I would give negative starts if I could. I’ve been working with HR Advisors in Hoffman for nearly two years regarding an issue with my 2022 taxes. I initially received a bill from the IRS and turned to them for help, trusting their advertised expertise in tax resolution. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. Instead of resolving the issue, they repeatedly assured me everything was fine and advised me not to pay the IRS. As a result, the amount owed continued to grow with interest and penalties. Ultimately, we had to pay significantly more to the IRS — a direct result of their poor guidance and failure to act in a timely manner. If a company claims to specialize in handling tax matters, they should take responsibility, follow through, and deliver results — not delay, mislead, or allow a situation to worsen. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend HR Advisors and strongly urge others to be cautious. Promising to help and failing to do so is not just unprofessional — it’s costly and unacceptable.

Tried to submit financials via email or electronic. Told I had to visit, which I did. Then I scheduled an appointment but was told they couldn't do it. They delayed and delayed until I had to file an extension. I kept following up with them and called the front desk 12 times, never to be called back. October 15th came and went without resolution. Went elsewhere. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere from the beginning.

I cannot recommend this office to anybody who expects prompt, professional tax preparation, returned phone calls, or a productive use of the client's time. I have attempted to use the "chain of command" to resolve my concerns, but NOBODY in the Block Advisor's office cares enough to take seriously any complaints. During tax season, I made an appointment and showed up with my materials for a completed tax return on that day. I was told that the tax preparer was too busy AND I was required to file for an extension. I did not want to do this as I was prepared to complete my return on that date. The office continued to advertise for more new clients and everybody (new and old clients) was required to file for an extension. The extension cost me A LOT in penalties for being late! As stated previously, nobody in this office cares about anything but "stacking up" clients for work done after the filing deadline (April 15th). This is a terrible tax preparation company. My advice is to take your business elsewhere!!

Marcy Peterson was great! She was very helpful and knowledgeable in her craft! She made sure I was getting the most back from my taxes and asked all the right questions! Would definitely recommend her to friends and family! I will definitely be coming back to her from here on out for assistance with my taxes! The absolute best experience I've ever had with my taxes!
