I began seeing Dr. Allison Young, Licensed Acupuncturist, around 12 weeks into my pregnancy after a friend recommended acupuncture for my severe hip pain and trouble sleeping. Even though I was early in pregnancy and not showing yet, Dr. Young’s treatments provided immediate relief and have continued to support me throughout my pregnancy. During this time, I’ve experienced pregnancy-related symptoms including back pain, leg cramps, and ankle discomfort. Most recently, I was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy and had severe pressure in my head and difficulty moving my face. Dr. Allison Young reassured me that acupuncture could help, and after just one targeted session, I felt instant relief and left feeling hopeful for a full recovery. What sets Dr. Young apart is her compassion and expertise. Unlike many other providers, she truly listens to my concerns and carefully tailors each acupuncture treatment to meet my needs. Every session leaves me feeling better, both physically and emotionally. I highly recommend Dr. Allison Young in San Diego for anyone seeking effective, holistic support during pregnancy, for pain management, or for conditions like Bell’s palsy, headaches, and sleep issues. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Alison at Bloom! She is incredibly kind, attentive, and truly cares about her patients. She takes the time to listen and makes every session feel personal and supportive. I’m currently going through my second round of numerous acupuncture sessions to support my IVF transfer, and I feel so grateful to have her alongside me during this journey. Her care has been such a comfort, and we’re hopeful this time around that it sticks even longer!

Dr. Tamara has been an invaluable source of support and expertise in my journey to becoming a parent again. After experiencing multiple miscarriages with no answers other than to try IVF, I decided to try acupuncture. Dr. Tamara’s assessment was so thorough and she immediately made me feel comfortable and more encouraged. She was a true ally in the process including checking in on me physically and emotionally, offering supplement recommendations, and providing a very relaxing experience during acupuncture. Within a few months, I conceived and am due very soon! Dr. Tamara has continued to be a significant source of support and encouragement throughout the pregnancy, helping with symptoms, maintaining a positive attitude, and bringing a wealth of knowledge. Tamara is fantastic and has been so wonderful. I had never done acupuncture before and she is so knowledgeable and warm with her approach. I am seeing her for overall wellness and I always look forward to our acupuncture sessions. You will not regret booking with her!
