We absolutely adore our relationship with Bluegum Market. Patrick and Emily stock the most amazing, locally sourced and handmade products, that not only make fabulous gifts, but also allow the makers the opportunity to create and sell their passion. Whenever we walk in, we always walk out with something. Thankyou guys for bringing this little gem to the CBD.

Highly recommend Bluegum market! Such an inviting space and amazing goods - too good to choose from! All so unqiue and very much loved all the eco products! What I did end up choosing to buy is really good quality, very unique and that I've never seen anything like them (one was a light bulb propergation vial!), and all for a very reasonable price. The owners were also very lovely and happy to help guide me in my purchase. Will be keen to visit again when in the area.

I had the pleasure of encountering Bluegum Market in early December. I appreciated the market’s focus on sustainability AND many of the wares for sale “looked” like Australia—there were koalas on beeswax and dish cloths, for example. (Being a tourist, this quickly facilitated gift buying for Christmas!) Importantly, though, it is in regard to the quality of the items sold in Bluegum Market that I am writing now. Last night while cleaning up after dinner my husband said, “This is the BEST dish cloth we have ever had. It doesn’t smell after being wet for a couple of days, it’s super absorbent, and it’s durable; it doesn’t fall apart after a lot of use.” All true. “And it’s also compostable,” I added. So, I recommend swinging by Bluegum Market for excellent quality, environmentally conscious, and local merchandise. People living in Newcastle, there’s a gem in your midst! To be completely forthcoming, the dish cloth in question does stain. Throwing it in the washing machine does not get the stains out and so my cute koala dish cloth doesn’t remain as cute as it was on the first use. However, the fact that the dish cloth is durable and compostable far outweighs the stains, in my opinion. There’s always give and take . . . Bluegum Market is a new enterprise. The owner is very friendly and smart and motivated to do her part for a healthier Earth. Check it out! And be ready to be very pleased that you did!
