Very solid Italian restaurant with some really good focaccia. It was cold the day we went so we didn’t sit outside, but they also have a really nice outdoor area with seating.
Coco was our waitress and she was so very polite. She gave us all the details on the menu offerings and answered all of our questions. We shared the meatballs, salad, and lemon pasta (spaghetti al limone) with the house made tagliatelle noodles. The salad was probably one of the best I’ve ever had with fresh fig, pear, apple and strawberries. The pasta was great and the sauce was light but rich all in one. The noodles had a great “chew” and the meatballs were good, as well. Prices are a bit high, but I do think it was worth it for me.
I chose this restaurant to celebrate my early birthday. It took us a little while to find the place, as it’s tucked away in an alley. The atmosphere was cozy and made us feel like we were in Italy. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was amazing — you could tell everything was fresh and handmade. However, the pappardelle al ragu and the short rib with polenta were underseasoned for my taste. Otherwise, I’d definitely come back to try other items on the menu.
I was really excited to finally try this place with my husband after hearing about it for weeks, but we left disappointed. The main issue was the service, which seems to be a common theme in other reviews. None of the staff were particularly friendly, and the two servers helping us never cracked a smile. Our server seemed irritated when we asked for guidance on the menu as first-time guests. The food was average at best—maybe a 6/10. We shared the Polpette al Sugo meatballs, which were too mushy, and my Carbonara seemed to be missing the richness of a proper egg yolk and quality guanciale. My husband ordered the all’Arrabbiata, but even he admitted I make it better at home. Overall, the experience didn’t live up to the hype and isn’t somewhere we’d rush back to.
I wanted to give this restaurant a higher rating but the inconsistent food and service really dropped my rating which I would give 3.5 overall it's just not 4 stars based on the value. I will say we were there on an absolutely packed Sat night .. Starting on the positive the house salad was the best dish of the night with great contrasts in textures and flavors. Then the inconsistenty starts happening in that one aranchini was fried more than the other per my picture the inside of one was cold and unappetizing. Likewise on the Octopus one leg was tender thhe other was tough; the sauce was excellent and paired well with half of the dish. I was super excited to see Cappelletti on the menu but the pasta was a bit too al dente for my taste and the filling lacked much flavor. Service was good but they never asked why I left half of my plates uneaten as they were super busy. I enjoyed the mezcalita cocktail veryuch so I will probably give this place another try when I just want an appetizer and a drink.
