Thin, smashed burgers with generous side portions. It's as basic as it can get. Friendly service. TVs available for sport game days and draft beers, too. We came on a random weekday night, and they were pretty slow/empty. I would think it'd be a nice hangout spot during the day.

Came to Old Town craving tacos but ran into this place. The Smashbuger tacos just got smashed! Well done guys and great service Bree. Will definitely come back with La familia… I heard the owner is a pretty cool guy too ✌️

Lots of tables and a really good burger. The sweetness of the maple makes this unique. Their tots are delicious seasoned. The have beer and soft drinks and Mexican coke and Jarritos. They even had a sour (beer) on the menu yeah! If you don’t want to stand in a long lines for other restaurants, come here. You won’t be disappointed.

Bonehead Burger is a laid-back burger joint with both indoor and outdoor seating. They are dog-friendly if you’re dining outside! They are tucked away on an upper deck in Old Town San Diego. I discovered this place through a Groupon deal that included two Bonehead Burgers, two beers or wines, and two sides of fries or tater tots, all for around $30. Talk about value! The Bonehead Burger itself completely exceeded my expectations — juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. It’s clear they take pride in what they’re serving. But what really shocked me were the massive portions of sides. These weren’t your average handful of fries. I’m talking full baskets, enough to satisfy even the hungriest eaters. If you’re craving a hearty burger, cold beer, and a chill spot to hang out I highly recommend checking out Bonehead Burger. I’ll definitely be back!

It was a Memorial Day Lunch for us. Got there a little early to avoid the crowds. Very nice open deck seating to view the streets and open scenery. Liked that it wasn't an overwhelming menu. Just stick to several items, but do them very well. Several of us ordered the Bonehead Burger, which was cooked very well. We also got a surprising huge order of their fries and tater tots, which were really tasty. Took a while for our food to come out, but good food takes time. And they might have been short-handed being a 3 day weekend and all. Will most likely comeback especially if I want a cheat meal .
