Dropped in as a guest from out of town and needed a place to train Muay Thai. Coach Mo and the Border crew welcomed me with open arms. I've trained at facilities all over the country and around the world and this is one of the nicest and cleanest gyms I've ever seen. Not only that, but Coach Mo emphasizes building an environment for students to learn, grow, and train safely and respectfully. For adults and children just starting out their combat sports journey, I can't stress enough how important it is to find instructors who prioritize that kind of culture. If I was a Collierville/Memphis local, this would undoubtedly be my home gym. I can't say enough good things. Thanks again to Coach Mo and the Border Martial Arts crew for allowing me to train with y'all!

Another year at Border has been yet another amazing experience. It has been the perfect place for our son to grow physically and internally and build character. Such a happy place to walk into we are so happy to be Border family! ❤️

It’s been a little over a year since I started classes at Border martial arts. At first it was a way to get in some exercise and lose some weight, but that turned in to so much more. The community that Coach Moe, Coach Border, Coach Gio, Coach Grant, and Coach Ben created is like no other. They truly treat you like part of the team, because you are part of the team! They are always in your corner (see the pic below of my 1st tournament). I have had many people tell me, don’t do jiu jitsu, it that’s it’s a young man’s sport but I am so grateful for the few people that told me to try it because it has truly changed my life for the better.

I can’t say enough good things about Border. Our daughter has been going for a few weeks now and absolutely loves it. The student to coach ratio is low, which is great for coaching, keeping the class’ attention, and safety. Everyone I’ve met and overheard has been nothing but kind, polite, and respectful. This is by far the nicest martial arts gym that I’ve been to, both in physical location and the interior/gym facilities. Team sports are great but kids need to learn to learn how to depend on themselves, too. I highly suggest that every parent enroll their child(ren) in some sort of solo sport. Why not make it a sport that also teaches them self defense in a controlled environment?

Our 4 year old son has been training at Border Martial Arts Academy for just under 3 months and we’ve loved the experience! He has gained confidence, strength, and always looks forward to class. The coaches are great with kids and make training fun while still teaching discipline. Highly recommend!
