Our home gym for the last two years 💕 We feel very fortunate to live just down the street and we are very satisfied and excited by the frequent-enough setting rate. The staff is super friendly and supportive, as is the community. Jeremy is always a pleasure to chat with and is invested in the satisfaction of the community; it’s a treat to be able to talk directly with him about new sets and receive solicited guidance (as a 5’1’’ climber, I can often use a bit of guidance!). There are plenty of changing rooms and lockers, and even on a busy evening in this smaller space, it’s usually still easy to find time on the wall, but it might be hard to find space to stand! Come with a crew or come alone — you’ll find lots of satisfaction here. And the cave *chef’s kiss* thank you, Boulderz! We appreciate you!
I'm a regular at the gym and love going. It's not super big, but they use the space really well and resets and backfills are done pretty often with a variety of different levels of difficulty. Nice that there's a training area upstairs with weights, hangboards, a treadwall, and a moonboard (I'll work up to being able to use it effectively). The community is good, and Jeremy and other staff members are really helpful in giving tips when I'm stuck on a problem.
this gym got me back into climbing after 5 years out of it. love the routes and the vibes, Jeremy at the desk has also installed some pretty cool moves for us in the novice climber range that echo/mimic the higher-level routes so we can try techniques. all the other climbers have been so supportive and friendly to us as well, solicited advice and encouragement given freely here!
Pretty cool spot. I’m a complete beginner and came with someone with a little knowledge about rock climbing and we both had a blast. We did the introduction package for $46 which included a 2 week membership and shoes, harness and chalk. That was the cheapest I’ve seen in Toronto when looking for a spot to go rock climbing. The climbs themselves were awesome. There were lots of different climbs albeit most were harder for beginners which is why I gave them 4 stars. They could use more beginner friendly routes. I think this place is a little more suited towards intermediate climbers. Staff were amazing. Super knowledgeable and helpful and gave great advice to tackle more difficult routes. They also reset walls pretty often so if you get a long term membership it will still be interesting and exciting. The auto belays and the kids section as well is an added plus and they have a basic gym upstairs as well. Overall really enjoyed the pass and totally would do it again.
I understand the spray wall format but for regulars, it’ll get boring FAST. Not only is it hard for people to establish their own climbs, the spray wall are more for folks who want to train hard - I can see why people are tired of it. I honestly was not excited about it when I walked into this gym the first time. Friendly staff (hi John!), the gym is small but on the second floor, you’ll find a treadwall, 2017 moonboard and heavy weights. There’s even a small section for kids! The mini slide looked fun. Auto-belays are right across from the spray wall. Happy to know that this location is going back to regular sets and will be removing the spray wall! Woohoo! I’ll visit again some day.
